really? that's my favorite Smile

Shrek, Braveheart, and drunken hobbits dancing on tables

I would hope so, all three are based on the Celts!

and I agree Linkin Park is a very expressive band, I always throw on Breaking the Habit when I'm struggling with my vices or other songs for other things. it seems they've got something for everything

I would never think of them like that, but I guess some of their music is depressing. I don't think any of their songs are actually about suicide though. Their lyrics are incredible, they can express the worst kinds of anger and sadness without even needing to swear. (It's not that I have a problem with swearing, it's just that they know how to articulate what they're saying without it. And you know how they feel!) Not to mention how amazing the instrumentals and electonika segments are. What they do is art.

Checked out your Celtic bands, amp. I think I like Dropkick more, but both bands simultaneously reminded me of Shrek, Braveheart, and drunken hobbits dancing on tables..in a good way! LOL, very fun. I liked the Workers Song the most.

Writer4, welcome to YN. Smile

Just a friendly reminder to try to avoid unnecessary double of triple posts. If you have posted something and then realize you have forgotten to add something on that post, you can edit it. Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly are both bands I would reccomend to just about any one. Dropkick is harder rock than Molly) Their both heavily celtic bands (heavy bagpipes w/ dropkick) and they do a ton of traditional songs rocked put. Dropkick is famous for it's "Pipe Covers" where they take traditional bag pipe songs like Amazing Grace and Scotland the Brave and add in electric guitars

Songs to check out: (in no particuler order)
Dropkick:
Green Fields of France
Cadence to Arms
The Gauntlet
Worker's Song
Fields of Athenry
Black Velvet Band
The Rocky Road to Dublin

Flogging Molly:
Screaming at the Wailing Wall
Black friday Rule
Rebel's of the Sacred Heart
What's Left of the Flag
May the Living Be Dead (in our Wake)
The Rare Ould Times
Cruel Mistress
Another Bag of Bricks
Salty Dog
