I was discussing this the other day and unfortunately its half true. Our once proud musical/social genre has been watered down and made for the masses, just like a lot of things these days. It’s really sad when kids these days know everything about good charlotte or what have you. But don’t know who Sid Vicious is or who the Ramones, The Clash, Crass, or The Dead Kennedys are. So is punk dead? No it just went underground, the true punk bands are the ones that started in basements and are still there. The ones that tour in an old van and simply play because they love it. And instead of dissing the mainstream bands form one of your own or star a fanzine, remember the scene is only good as you make it.

I was gonna say something meaniful, I was gonna say something wise, I would have said something that meant something to me, but I lost my train of thought

yes

Sadly yes. But punk will never die. But yea, everytime i hear some GC song, or new green day, i want to stab my brain with a stick. not one of those kids kno the sex pistols, cheap sex, the ramones, the clash, exploited, etc etc. its all fake and corpratized. the look is being sold, and the music reformed, but the fad will pass, punks will again be yesterdays news, and we will get back our currently flawed kingdom.for now, just kick the a$$ of every teenybopper possible Smile
