Once, my friend and I were somehow talking about overly prised purses, shoes, and other material things. I, who am not very girly, tried to explain to her that women who spend $500 dollars purses don't live in the real world. Let me explain...
These women like to live with the latest fashion and styles, thinking that everyone really cares... they don't. What the world really cares about is actual important things like government, AIDS, hunger, war or terror, murder, etc. But instead of caring about these things, these women with $50 dollar shoes, $100 dollar pants and $300 purses would rather hide from the real world and live in the fashion world, where they spend all there money.
If I'm not making this very clear, please tell me.

Oh, sorry, I made some spelling mistakes 'lafy' should be 'lady' and lieing should be lying. I can't spell well. Smile

Yes, I agree. What disgusts me the most is that one time, when I was downtown, I saw a lafy with her nails done, and had one a very expensive looking coat, and she was bedding for money. She either was lieing about needing money, or she sadly is adicted to expensive things that she really can't afford. I kind of felt bad for her.

I don't like shopping, so I don't go often, so I don't know prices. Sorry Confused
(That doesn't mean I don't like to have good clothes, because I do, but I'd rather have comfortable, fair-trade, not overly prised shoes than unfair trade, over prized fashiony shoes.)

I agree with BSP, good post. That said, Those prices are quite low. Where do you get good shoes for under 50$?

The problem is much worse. I know people making less than 75k a year that buy 400$ shoes and 1500$ purses. As a % of income, it's just disgusting. It really highlights their priorities.
