Anyone else here listen to punk or metal ? (Dead kennedys, op ivy, etc)

I don't care what you like. Did it seem like I did? The fact of the matter is, Joe Strummer is God, and no one today can begin to compare to him. End of story.

I love all kinds of bands: Slipknot, System Of A Down, Less Than Jake, Sum 41, Simple Plan, The All American Rejects, Good Charlotte, and bands like that. I really don't care if people don't consider Sum 41 and Good Charlotte "punk". I love them anyway. Just letting you know beforehand.

Yes I do know who he is he is all my cousins listen to but they do listen to other ppl sometimes. He is very good. And so are many others. Yes he lives on in his music but a lot of others are good do too. I think he ISN'T the only punker I think there are plenty more. But I dint mean to be mean but I do not like the fact that you are acting like no one else is good and no one else can be punk.

I loved the Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols. The good punk. This new punk **** ****ing sucks. I hate it and anyone who defends it, all I have to say is just go listen to the Clash, a REAL and GOOD punk band and shut the hell up. Joe Strummer was a genius, and no one today can even begin to compare to him.

I hate nu-metal..so so much. But as for punk (and ska), I was just glad to hear you mention Operation Ivy. I love them, and I was unfortunately born way too late to ever see them play a show. I went to Warped Tour last year and was pretty disapointed with everything I saw other than Lagwagon and NOFX...and I do have a little soft spot for New Found Glory, despite their pop-ness. I wanted to go to Warped Tour the year before last to see Rancid, but alas, I could not. Speaking of excellent ska/punk bands, does anyone here listen to Slapstick?

Alright i wasn't really thinking when i was writing that **** about nu metal. Mushroomhead is pretty good (Bwomp) but i hate slipknot(no offense to anyone)

The FA forums knew about the main spammer. Most of us disagreed with what he did. I usually am in either our Server forum (I admin a server) or the Off Topic Forum. In the OTF, there was a thread about this board and how he was gonna f with it. Almost everyone disagreed with him. 1 person said to make it more worthwhile and linked us to a racist forum that he was "infiltrating."

I ended up making a thread in our OTF about marine16's "A Step Up" thread. 90% of our ofrum goers thought it was a joke. After realizing it wasn't, and how he didn't know jack-s**t, 1 of our moderators regestered just to proove him wrong about the Patriot Missile System.

Please don't think that we are all like him. And if you ever want a good weapon discussion, our Weapons forum is the place to go!

Outspoken:Warped tour and all that kroq sponsored crap really does blow, its just clean sanitized government music mtv style. As for ozzfest, the closest location its going to be to me is hundreds of miles away, and I'll have already blown all of my money on defcon and related stuff by that time anyway. He11, I might be living in a squat in seatlle for a couple weeks in august anyway, and there should be some more interesting events up there.
