-Old Led Zeppelin Aerosmith - old stuff, new isn't nearly as good Guns N' Roses The Doors Pink Floyd The Clash Ramones The Cure Nirvana - even though they aren't truely oldschool -New White Stripes Red Hot Chili Peppers Franz Ferdinand Arctic Monkeys The Beatles, even though they didn't play rock, are the most overated band to ever have existed.

I'm not sure how much of this would actually be considered rock. How did there get to be so many genres of music?! But here's a list of stuff I like Linkin Park Foo Fighters Sum 41 The Who Nirvana The Beatles Jet Nickelback 3 Doors Down 3 Days Grace Incubus Something Corporate and/or Jack's Mannequin (same lead singer, same vibe) Red Hot Chilli Peppers Relient K (it's Christian rock..?) Staind Tenacious D (it makes me happy.) And honerable mentions for Theory of A Deadman, Lynnard Skynnard, Switchfoot, and Fall Out Boy.

Criti let me introduce a special item called an edit button... quote: so much good stuff out there today.
bull shit, I have yet to hear a truely great rock band post 80's that wasn't around for the 80's

Aren't Metalica and Korn metal of some type, rather than rock? Anyway, Steve Miller Band, Queen, The Killers, The Beatles, The White Stripes, British Sea Power, Thats actually all I can really think of for now...
