Okay now the young have so many people and also things that the young looke up to. I'm talking like 10 and under here. Like stars they see Paris, Britney, Lindsey, and so many others and they think wow I want to be just like them. Oh my gosh hello, Paris, well do I have to expalin here. You know how they are. And things I once tried getting a doll for my neice well here's what I found. I stuffed doll skinny as hell, ultra-mini skirt, halter top, belly button, high heeled boots, and WAY to much makeup. I mean COME on they have use dolls. And if you say well their for the older crowd. Does a grown woman like dolls here?? Then with shrek what kid doesen't like shrek. So some company decided he would be the perfect "spokesman" for talking about weight. Saying to eat right and get daily exersize. Well geuss who else thought he was a perfect "spokesman" Dairy Queen, McDonalds, M&M's, Cheetos, Pop Tarts, Snickers, Skeetles, Kellogs Marshmellow Cereal, and much more. Uh hello dosen't that stuff make you fat in the first place. Their kids they already love the candy and with shrek you know that will make em want it even more. With all this happening kids have to deal with so much at a young age. Anyways I'm not sitting here attacking the stars. Paris Hilton is a full grown woman probably has a her life set as the way she wants it or trying to. But a young child only aged seven years? She is learning to set her life and to set it around a grown woman? She is a kid. Come on here am I the only one getting this? Or IDK. Juss tell me what you think.

I think Shrek is everywhere these days. Whether is healthy/unhealthy food stores or just plain clothings stores and anywhere they can put his name on. They don't really care as long as their raking in money. I did see what you mean about McDonald's though. When I was in the airport in Los Angeles, the McDonald's there had Shrek every where, and I mean everywhere. From hanging from the ceiling to pasted on the walls. It was hard not to notice if you're a kid passing by and like Shrek.

Moved to a more appropriate section. Carry on.

again, what the fuck is idk? I'm not "down" with all this vocabulary. For what YV said, as I still don't get your post, well I don't think it's much worse now than when I was a kid. When I was little kids played with Barbies, I don't see how they're any better than those Bratz or whatever. For the Shrek thing, the problem isn't Shrek, the problem is McDonalds. The celebrities thing, well I still don't get exactly your point. Are you trying to say they're a bad influence because people look up to them or what is your point?

Yeah sorry bout that it was late when I wrote it. And I type kinda fast sometimes. But anyways YouthVoice has the picture. As for those who don't understand idk try not replying. Or better yet stay away from messages like this. It's pretty much what kids like under 10 has to grow up around.

So you're talking about the bad influences kids have these days? Or at least that's what I think you're talking about. I've seen those dolls you mention. I think they're called Bratz and I find it amazing that parents would like their kids to play with dolls that look like...well, mini sluts(for lack of a better word). Soon you have these little girls wanting to dress like them, and wear make up like them. I don't know if Paris really affects younger girls the age of seven, it seems to me like some of these kids are way to young to even know who this celebrities are. But unfortunately a lot of kids grow up with the TV as their guides and too many parents don't supervise what their kids are watching. And about the Shrek thing, yeah, I agree. Him being the "spokesman" for both "healthy" food and places like McDonalds and such sends mixed signals. Things are really messed up these days. Sad, really.
