I used to really like SNL, till Tine Fey took voer as head writter. I think she took the show in the wrong direction. I still watch it tough. Any of you guys like SNL?

i hate that now they think that the scene will go better if the actors crack and start laughing. but it doesnt. that only worked for jimmy fallon

Amen to that. The problem with SNL is that it's completely devolved into a bunch of crude and stupid penis/fart jokes, with the occasional "haha, blatant irony" skit to make it worse. I just watched the first new episode in a while, and I was treated to "Dr. Porkenhiemer's ***** Juice". What the hell was that? Where's my Bass O' Matic, where's Norm MacDonald on Weekend update, or even better, Kevin Neelan. Hell even Colin Quinn was better than what they have now. They need fresh writers NOW. With all the crap that's going on in the world, there's plenty of comedy gold out there. Instead they just make stupid, witless skits that fall flat. The show's not doomed, this happened before in the late 70's and early 80's, but they NEED new people now.

I won't argue that it didn't used to be better. But Tiny Fey, I like. No major gripes with her.

I only liked SNL when Elijah Wood was on it a year or two ago. It was funny. Then I watched it once again and it sucked. I loathe Blue Collar TV. It's really stupid.

Not really. THere are a few political sketches, but it's never really the focus. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

Correct me if I'm wrong, I usually only watch the first five minutes of SNL, but it seems to be very political...Which sort of bores me. That's the only reason I like MadTV. I get the jokes, even though 90% their not funny...And I think Stephanie Weir is halarious.

I bet everytime there are cast changes some people say the show is now horrible.
the thing is that all the funny people are gone. yea maya rudolph used to be funny, but that was when she was around all the good people. and i never thought rachel dratch was all that funny. seth myers is trying to hard to be another jimmy fallon. and amy poehler is funny sometimes. thats goes for the entire show too, its funny "sometimes". i dont know, my taste in humor is quite selective.

I think the humor on Sturday Night Live is great. Though I've only been watching it for a year, so I proabably wouldn't have noticed a change.

snl has totally gone down the crapper. its not even funny anymore. sometimes i still watch it though becuz nothing else is on around that time. but all the good people have gone. ever since cheri oteri, molly shannon, chris kattan, and especially will ferrell the show is crap. and now jimmy fallon is gone, the show has no hope. its quite disappointing

I love the comedians themselves...I don't like that series. I hate MadTV. It's just stupid. I've seen some SNL and it's allright.

Mad TV is terrible. Blue collar comedy was funny the first time I saw it, when it was the skit about the Appalachian Medical office on SNL.
