has anyone actually looked at a barbie recently? it doesn't have the waif-like look that's in right now. it's huge curves with a tiny waist. the big-boob look is really out. most celebs are a c-cup or under. and last time i checked, the blondes were still dying their hair brown.
stereotyping doesn't work and all you're doing is stereotyping hollywood. yeah, it's far from being ideal, but there is a little bit more diversity lately.

In my opinion there are two types of "Barbie girl" looks.
1. If you just naturally look that way. Those women are just gorgeous.

i have a few friends with the barbie look and they're pretty easy on the eyes they're not gorgeous (sorry bout spelling) but they're hot and itz an ok look that everyone likes and im sorta tired bout girls complaining about how the barbie popular girl or watever is dumb and superficial cuz she really isnt
being an individual. It's like you have to sift through the darkness to find your place and be that individual you want to be your entire life
and i thnk everyone has there own barbie. like the way they look . they make dolls to what people look like and beauty isnt just blonde skinny and tall. only if you think it is . so get over it .
Most of us here know that there are different standards of beauty, but the reason behind the post is that the media only portrays that one single type of beauty, and if you're not it, you're nothing to them. Its not whether other beauty exists or not, because it does, its the lack of society to flaunt the other types of beauty.

It is true that there are millions of permutations of what people think is beautiful - the media does dominate everyone's perceptions, whether or not they realize it. I've been working on undoing this conditioning for the last 20 years. Anyway, let's just remember that all this image stuff is about money, sales, and has nothing to do with, say - sex.

society has come to a point where beauty is diverse. The barbie look was so upheld but now we see Angelina jolie worshipped. She is niether stick skiny, blonde or ditsy. Same with Beyonce and Jessica Alba.

yeah i agree that the barbie look isnt hot but neither is the emo look people are just self absorbed sometimes they try to change themselves just to fit in!!!! yous are all nutting about the barbie issue when the emo look is just the same yeah the girls stop themselves eating but the emos cut themselves whats up with that why arent yous nutting about that??? i hate the emo style more than the barbie 1!!! some girls feel that airhead boys will notice them if they go all barbie on them and they do!!!!
