I hate that song. all the girls at my school are obsessed with it. what do you think?

I don't have any of their Cd's. Probably cuz i'm so picky about the songs, and don't like pop-rock too much. Only really hard stuff.

ive never heard of it, but i only have their newest cd. so thats probably why.

Of course i'd rather have people like Fountains of Wayne other than B.S. and Justin Timberlake. But Fountains of Wayne only have 3 good songs:

1)Stacy's mom
2)Mexican Wine
3)Denise

That just about does it.

If you don't like the song, don't listen to it. I personally think that it is better for the girls at your school to be obsessed about THAT, than for them to be obsessed about a Justin Timberlake song or a Brittney Spears song, wouldn't you agree?

I love that song. I soon as i heard it on Kroq, i cracked up laughing. Then i saw the video and thought it was more hilarious. See there are 2 songs this year that brought my whole school together musically: "Hey Ya", and "Stacy's Mom". Not just girls like it too either. The guy in front of me in science class couldn't stop singing that song. Plus in that class there is also a girl named Stacy, so whenever someone would sing that song, people would point at her.

It's a kicky little number.

I like that song, I havn't heard it in a while, though. I think it is funny and had a good beat, its not my fave song, but I like it.

i love that song...& i have to agree with comradesmurf that its not their best song...but its a pretty great song

I've heard their other stuff, and only if they tried purposely could they have assembled more meaningless lyrics. This temporary fad disgraces what's left of today's youthful generation's ability to detect great music amidst the flocks of downright, dirty, sheep songs. You can do so much better, why must you insist that carrying heavy boulders through deep water is the better way?

I agree, I dislike the song and the band. Everyone thinks they're some new awesome band but the truth is they've been around for years and their so bad it took them this long just to get a one hit wonder.

Labelling little boy fantasies as "love" is a crime. He doesn't even don't know what the lady's name is. Plus the song skips too quickly between talking to stacy directly and just proclaiming things in general. Thumbs down for Fountains of Wayne. Thier records should be donated to deaf people.
