Whatya think of it? Did your parents/friends give you grief?
My parents aren't too keen on the whole wizard thing but they've gotten relatively leniant on the books since they've looked in on them and know the spells aren't real and that as long as the reader has a strong sense of the line between reality and fantasy, of real and fake wizadry. They trust me (for once!lol)
I think it's really cool, actually. Didn't have really any interest at first but my friend told me I should read them so I thought "what the heck." it was a good thing too, because it wasn't but afew months later I used it to witness to a pagan friend. it was like, so cool! Has reading it given you any opportunities like that?
My favourite character is Sirius. He has been since I first read PoA. Who are yours?
I didn't like the first two movies but the third is like my all-time favourite movie.
ok I'm real hyper, sorry.

I put another picture up there, Green, if you're interested. It's got a cruddy coloring job, though.

That's hilarious, Spatula. I hate avatars. *grumble, mumble, curse*

I draw fanart but don't post it anywhere. It's embarrassingly bad. The closest I've come to posting it anywhere is right here. Granted, that's not my realistic style at all and I drew it with a mouse. The stuff in my sketchbook's much better.

No it's true. Rowling has Harry die on the 666th page of the 6th book. I just read it, he slips on a banana peel and falls off a cliff. The 7th book is just a huge flipbook of Dumbledore doing the macarena.

I can't believe you'd give it away like that! Have you no consideration at all?

BTW, does anyone do fanart? I know some of you do fiction. Just curious.

I almost gave up with the first book, they always start off boring. I got bored one day and read it, it isn't half bad. I am getting #6 tomorrow. I hope it's better than #5, that book just plain sucked. I like #3 the best. I will not stay up all night to read the new book.

Alright! Thyere is now a thread in the Literature section for discussion! Yes! And this Ron/Hermione shipper is angry. Yes, very angry. So I can't wait to find out who dies. I ahev a feeling I won't have to wait long.

This post has been deemed spoiler free by Greenleaf the Potter geek. Geeky and proud!!!

It's neat seeing the countdown say "18 minutes" after this long wait. I aet living on the west coast, though, because everybody gets everything before us.

I plan on seeing the clock when it hits zero, because I've nothing else to do.

My mother is actually as into Harry Potter as me. I have some friends whose parents won't allow them to read it. Presonally, I think the're freakin' awesome! I'm on the top of the library list, slot number 1!!!! I'm excited. J.K. Rowling really knows how to write a certain way, to make it seem like a magical world of Harry Potter could be real. I don't think fantasy is bad or stories that have wizards and witches as long as the book isn't serious about it. aka how to be a witch,"real spells, etc. Because I don't believe in that.

I can't go to the midnight party as (1) I can't drive after 9pm because of some stupid law in my state and (2) I have to get up at 5:15am to go to a festival and work with my father.

But my name is on the list at the library. I'm 7th on the list behind five little kids and a guy who is going to be a senior next year.

Oh, and I'm not surprised blue. I was hoping it would be someone we'd already met seeing as how that would add even more layers to the story ("Oh, now I see why so-and-so said such-and-such in Book # take-your-pick.) But, unfortunately, I had a fear that it would just be the new DADA teacher.
