I don't know why you hate family guy but I think it is great.

What do you take me for? You think I can't understand the "undertones" of the Simpsons. Bad writing is bad writing. By now, it's at best a ham fisted attempt at dealing with legitimate social issues. Some of the older simpsons were funny. The ones now are not. **** that pop-culture studies **** bauhaus.

I think you must not understand a lot of the undertones put into those shows or else you would understand what's going on. At face value, it's poor writing, but when you look at what it's making fun of and it's approach, it's quite clever.
the simpsons teaches really good family values and reflects most american families.... Marge is the proper house wife / but does have a very feminist side (she becomes a cop, runs from the law, etc) Homer, is a selfish, greedy, horrible father idiot, but he's a loving man, he loves his family and would do anything for them. (it suppose to teach no matter how bad of a father you are, stick with your family) Bart is suppose to be the troubled son, that a lot of famlies has, he does have a heart though, and feels bad when he does wrong and trys to make them better Lisa is an example of the straight A suck up student. Although she does fight for her rights, shes an example of trying new things exploring the world and the things around you. every chracter in the simpsons is someone you know in real life.

They're badly written- nothing justifies taht. But it was funny to hear all the Fox shows that got canned.

simpsons, family guy and american dad are pretty political and thats why I like them.. They make fun of peoples core beliefs. While I like to laugh at them... Its show like those that need to stay on the air. Didnt you get it when peter was rambling off those horrible shows that were put on instead of family guy..

All I knows is, I liked the British porn.

Anyone who makes fun of the simpsons doesn't know creativity. Any show that can last for 15+ years and still pull in huge audiances deserves respect. I'm not a huge Family Guy fan and I think there's too much hype over it but it's pretty good compared to some stuff on TV. No need to get bent out of shape over it. Some of it's pretty funny. No, Family Guy last night was not as good as the original, which was never as great as amny people think it was. Family Guy relies on gimmicky humour, taht is funny the first time you hear it, but doesn't last past a third or fourth time. It was ahead of its time when it was made- now it's too late. And the old man wasn't that funny, its attempting to use a old gag charachter instead of writing something new and funny. Parts of it were funny, like brian dragging his ***. quote: You probably missed a lot of things in american dad. Bah! That show is crap!

family guy was great... it was a take off of hitchcocks north by northwest. punishment forecast: He's gon' get it! the old man trying to watch the little boys stretch, and the guy trying to make panocho lie so his nose pokes him in the butt. You probably missed a lot of things in american dad. in the kitchen when the mom was telling the alien to get off the phone and he said "oh shes being a..." he said something like "case under noon tuesday" and what do those first letters spell out? c---

Oh shuttup you overreactionary! Obviously it's going to be different after such a long pause in production and a switch to a different network. Hint; it's not cable, and it's solely to make money. It might be different but that doesn't mean all hope is lost, and frankly it's better than no new Family Guy episodes. I only caught the last ten minutes, and while I agree it was poor quality, it's still Family Guy, and there's good stuff there. Like Stewie's eyes rolling up after Brian said upside-down face. They tried to pack too much humor into it, because it was the big opening episode. American Dad was worse, what were you expecting, but still some funniness there, like the Alien installing the dimmer switch. "What, too fabulous for you? I hate this place!"
