Abercrombie recently pulled some of their T-shirts because some people thought they were racist. Does this make you more or less likely to buy stuff from them in the future? What about when you hear bad stuff about other companies?

I'd regret wearing anything that looks like my washing machine barfed on it.

Anyways, A&F stuff may be expensive, but it's higher quality than the stuff you'd find at, say, Target or thrift shops. Even JCPenney rarely sells jeans for under $30 or $40, unless they have some massive sale going on.

Besides, pre-distressing your own clothes rarely works out well. I'd rather not have to deal with bleach myself...

You don't regret buying bleach splattered jeans for $80? When you can easily buy the same jeans from a thrift shop for $5 and splatter them with bleach yourself?

LOL! I'd say most people that hate/don't like Abercrombie are people that have never tried their clothing. I felt the same way before I let one of my friends into trying some of their jeans. At first it was jeans, then everything. And I'm sorry if you can't afford it, as I just barely handle the prices at AbercrombieKids. I mean, I'm not poor, but I'm not rich either. And I'm glad my friend talked me into trying their stuff, because I don't regret a thing!

Clothes from stores like Kohls or any other store not endorsing child labor r cute and u can wear on a clear concience cuz the brands they carry are mostly manufactured in the US and not only r u helping the US economy u can wear it on a clear consience. well anyway im back from my tangent but in anwser to the orginal question i would not shop and abacrombie ever.

It's wonderful to see you taking an interest in the responsibility of our consumer choices. I was wondering where you got your data on Delias using child labor, I have searched the net and cannot find anything on their labor practices. Also, I thought you should know that just because something says "made in the USA" does not mean it was produced by ethical labor practices. The US owns a number of islands in the south pacific in which it does not provide governance over but is considered US territory. On these islands are places that are not governed by US labor standards, but are recorded as being inside the US. So it may say Made in the US but it is likely on an island we've never heard of or seen which contains factories with unethical labor laws. It's best to shop places that overtly state their labor practices out front. I've found a good resource to be www.coopamerica.org, they have an extensive list of green places to shop as well as documented offenses by popular American business.

Abercrombie & Fitch isn't racist. There kind of funny, a little over priced and stupid but they have witty shirts. I wouldn't read too much into it. There are plenty of other shops out there.

abercrombie racist? hardly. more like monetarily predjudice. they dont like window shoppers and if they think you dont have the money to buy their stuff, they make sure you dont want to come back. you would swear that all they worked off of was commission.

Well I just want to say that because of the way that I get treated anytime that I go into that store I wouldn't say that all of the stores are racist but most of them that I go to the employees are pretty racist.Thats why i dont shop there. I don't like the clothes anyway but I just went in with my friend so that she can look around. That's how I see it. That's the way that I feel about that situation.

Omg...people, get over yourselves, Plz! Abercrombie and Fitch is NOT racist. Their T's are funny, have a sense of humor. And don't take them personal, don't be offended, it's not worth worrying about, it's all a misconception. And if you don't like the T's, then don't buy them! Worry about more important, and reasonable issues...try commenting on the horrible war that's going on, or how we still have slaves in some countries (some call them sweatshops, but that's just "Ugly English", their slaves!!).

*shrug* I don't shop at Abercrombie. I don't even think I've ever been in that store. So I don't really know...

I shop at Target for the style. It may be lower quality (and lower price), but it sure looks sharp. I do tend to buy my jeans at JCPenney because I can't get Levis at Target. When you're on a college budget, cheap is better. I can't always afford to drop $35 on a pair of jeans, especially when I can get a pair for $15 on the clearance rack at Target. And I don't always have to wait for sales. Then again, JCPenney has sales just about every weekend...
