i have a friend that worked there. she stopped when she started selling thongs to 11 and 12 year olds. there clothes are outrageously expensive and in my town it only confirms (or denies, if your not rich) your socio-economic status; i hate these kids that drive bmw's their mommy and daddy buy for them and then go off to some expensive school were they drink, smoke and fail the semester away, never having to work for anything they have. i hate you people.

Well I really don't "like" all there clothes. I mean personally most of there clothes are a bit prepish. They do have some wicked clothes too but that is beside the point. I notice a lot of clothing stores are really disrespectful about many cultures. So sometimes I don't really like going into the stores. roll eyes

i think abercrombie is racist anyway, because of the people they cater to. but those shirts...ugh...that was horrible. they had no right to do that, they weren't thinking, and they thought that some little white girl would think it was "cute" and buy it...it makes me sick...ok thats enough mad ~alex

Wouldn't buy from them anyway. They only pay their workers under 3 bucks and hour.

In my lit class the teacher passed out photocopies of the shirt with the "Two Wongs Make It White" thing. It was kinda funny with those words by themselves, but then they had to go and have these really stereotypical looking Chinese guys next to it. So stupid...

I don't think Abercrombie really meant to be racist, they were just being clueless and insensitive. They obviously weren't thinking. Geez, if anyone wore that around my area, they'd get their butt kicked the moment they walked out the door (huge Asian population)!

I never buy anything from them anyway... this makes me want to buy stuff from them even less.

Please explain the situation surronding the removal of the shirts so I can better understand what is going on.

mad I personally found the shirts to be very offensive. How can our society get anywhere if we can't refrain from using racial stereotypes for profit? I wrote Abercrombie an email voicing my disgust! I am glad they pulled the shirts. I am glad YouthNoise wrote an article about Abercrombie pulling the shirts!

Critics said that the shirts had negative depictions of Asian-Americans. You can read more on the story at: WGO: Is Abercrombie Racist?
