Also, in my last post I forgot the one and only greatest guitarrist in Rock history, none other than Jimi Hendrix. Just listen to any of his songs and then listen to modern rock, everyone that plays a guitar now a days owes hendrix, everyone.

I thought about it and I decided that the band that has been the most influential on me is Linkin Park, closely followed by Something Corporate.

I would have to say The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus & Hawthorn Heights. There messages are universal and you can relate to the lyrics.

Musically I'd probably say the Beatles, but The Rolling Stones definitely defined the rock star lifestyle. Every musician desperate for a record deal wishes he could be Mick Jagger (and rightfully so) He's not a band, but I also think Elvis Presley's stuff has been very influential to the progression of rock and roll, so props to the King. Same goes to the Beach Boys for pop.

Most Influential? The Beatles, in their albums you can hear the precursors to everything that came after, the stones, zepplin, A-smith, everything musical that came after the fab-4 was heavily influenced by them

For me, the red jumpsuit apparatus is very influential. Their songs talk about suicide, life, getting dumped, being in love, being the change, etc. They were in the take action tour which is a tour to prevent suicide. So they are very influential.

My Chemical Romance to me is a very influential band. They stand for the awareness of self abuse. They're 5 guys who want you to live and stand up for your self.

what exactly are you asking? what band has the most ifluence on us? or on music in general? For me in both cases it would have to be Led Zeppelin, they influeced me by teaching me to appreciate a whole generation of band's and musicians. And I also believe they are the band that has had the most influence on modern rock music, anywhere you look now a days you'll find references to Page's guitar, and John Bonham is still regarded as one of the best drummers in history even though it's been over 20 years since his death. Finally, they were one of the first bands to combine multiple uncharacteristic sounds to form a more plural style of rock music, wich now seems to be the norm. I'd also like to mention The Doors, although not as influential, Jim Morrison's lyrics where fantastic, and their psychedelic improvisations were superb.

Definatley U2. I dont like their music all that much but they have done so much for not only raising awareness but rasing money with bono's RED campaign for Africa and visiting so many times. Thats the way to be. they kick ass
