Back to the original topic here, I thought it was kind of funny that they went with the Paul McCartney mini-concert for the halftime show. They were so obviously playing it safe there it was hilarious. It wasn't that bad though. I loved the lighted stage he was on that changed colors and patterns throughout the different songs, it was so cool!

Not every music scholar is going to like Paul M. So to make sure we don't have this very annoying and unpleasent converstation ever again. Lets look at he difference between fact and opinion.

Fact: Paul M played at the half time show.
Opinion: Paul M half time show sucked!

Considereing Paul McCartney has been the number one money maker in the entire music industry for 7 years and has been in the top ten in annual income for 41 years, I would think quite a few people listen to "that beatles dude". He made more money last year than John Mayer, Janet Jackson and Maroon 5 combined.

Awesome, half-time was great. And the Superbowl was great!

Half time suxed...boring..and it didn't appeal to all audiences. The network just didn't want to offend anymore people because of the 1/2 a breast being shown for 1/2 second last year. The wardrobe malfuction. So they made a nice...boring...safe half time show. I thought fox would have planned something a little more edgy. Who in the heck listens to that beatles dude anyway. i thought it sucked and took that time to take a shower! So I guess in the end it was good for something.

You are right, I weep with joy and happiness everytime I hear the National Anthem. It was written in a time when ALL people were patriots, not just conservatives.

McCartney was excellent as usual. He is a genuine class-act.
