I'm assuming PBS has to do fund raisers because they either don't run advertisements, or not enough advertisers are interested. On MTV and most other major channels there's no shortage of ads, so fund raising is unnecessary.

Oh, I see... But what about MTV and every other channel I watch, they don't spend half an hour between shows asking for donations.

iceland--that link didn't work either. i bet mcdonalds is on to you. run, boy! run to where they can't catch you! into the mountains! maybe...
nicoley--pbs has to do fund raisers and ask people for hundreds of dollars. it's how they make money. then, they give away crappy little things as rewards for donating money. i hate pbs fundraising week. it keeps stopping the white painter with the 'fro. i love that guy.

I was watching Auther the other day. Great show. ANYWAYS, it was on PBS, and they stopped right in the middle of the show, when it was getting to the good part, and for half an hour they tried to sell people this stupid movie, and they were asking people for $200 minumun donatins. thats so sick.
