Why is it everyone is turning to this latest fad of; pink long socks--striped, jet-black straight hair...covering your face or chicken styled...Drew Carry glasses...goth-like poses and hippy-like ways. Seriously, anyone who calls themselves emotional needs to be whacked in the face many times. Emo-emotional is not even a culture or a label, it's a freaking music genre that turned into a fad. Thanks to the no good bands, (I rather not say or I will offend you). This new fad is a joke, it's a rip off both Goth culture and Hippies...=.-
What are your opinion of the latest fad...

true enough you can't always tell but for some of these kids there just posers and the real deal needs to get help not put on a pound of black eyeshadow and paint their nails

Not what I meant faerie the kids that tend to be emo have nothing to complain about in life they have money nd can afford things like a tattoo and nostril piercing and those $80 pants from hot topic everything in their lives in handed to them pretty much on a silver platter and yet they complain about everything. That's what I meant

You never know what is going on beneath the surface though. My family looks great from the outside, we go to church together, work outside together, hang out all the time, we are upper-middle class, have one of the nicest kept homes in our neighborhoods. Really though, we are just as screwed up as many others...my dad keeps moving in and out, my sister has developed interstinal disease prompted by emotional stress, my mom has all sorts of health problems, her older brother has disowned her for trying to make her marriage work, my parents are in marriage counseling...

I've always had everything material I've ever wanted...but is that really enough?

I just dislike the whiny ones that are constantly saying how bad life sucks as a middle class white kid with money in their wallets

I thought emo was everywhere.

Oh, emo kids are totally hippies. A lot are vegetarians, mostly liberal. Except since I'm in the South most of the emo kids here love god and are "straightedge", although a few do drugs.

But I don't haver too much of a problem with the whole emo thing. It's fine by me.

I don't see how hippies factor into it either...but I am tired of this emo fad.

I haven't seen that "fad". But maybe it's not just a fad, either.
