Do we really have free speech in America, can we really state our opinion without later being punished for it. I think not, and I have proof, Eminem, Marylin Manson, and all the people brought in by Tipper Gore or Mrs. Cheney (thanks Em) all those people were stating their opinions about things going on in America that they liked or didn't like. For instance Eminem explained that he didn't like the Homosexual community, true he did do it in a vulgar manner but it is still his right to say how he feels, because I feel the same way. To be gay is against my religion and I agree fully with Eminem, probably not to his extinct but I still agree. I know I'm probably going to get a lot of negative feedback, and your opinions count too so I'll just ignore them and keep believeing the way that I do. To get back to my first point Tipper Gore birngs in musicians of music she dosen't like, of music she dosen't give a chance, music she wants to rid America of. Well to Mrs. Gore, you can listen to elevator music all you want, others wanna listen to music with a little more style, and something upbeat, all people who feel like Mrs. Gore Get a Clue and just turn your radio down or off you don't have to listen to it.

This is me, if you have a problem, write about it, see if it bothers me.

For Tipper Gore to go and start a war against music was WRONG...i forgot what her group was/is called but they tried to censor WHATEVER they could get there conformist right wing hands on...and yet again i refer you to him but...Listen to some of Jello Biafra's speeches attacking Tipper Gore...they had quite a battle going on...

Yes we have free speech.

We just have stupid Americans that overrreact to everything so insanely strongly that people feel they must talk "friendly" with the American public.

Thus, the sniveling biased sugar-coat-every word and give sappy speeches politician was born...and thrives in our society...

Of course there is backlash against people who speak their minds publicly. It is also great that others can publicly disagree with opinions without killing or exhibiting any other act of violence. Eminem and Marilyn Manson, etc. are over-hyped. If they feel a certain way about something, fine. I personally don't care one way or the other if Eminem was abused as a child. We all have our neuroses. He is no different.I respect him for publicly voicing his opinion. As for anybody else, if you have something to say, say it. Don't let the colonists' actions against parliament go to waste.

Do your research on music censorship, and then get back to me. You'll find that Tipper has had bigger problems than Eminem.

Sometimes, giving your opinion...there is always a consequence...Not conforming...to what everybody else thinks makes you an outsider..looking in. But do people really have freedom of Speech? I would like to think that everyone has their own right to voice their opinion..but in this day and time somethings never seem to change in though its in the consitution.

Eminem has yet to be, imprisoned, beaten, publicly executed, or arrested for his opinion.

Why? Because the American government recognizes his 1st amendment right.

They have the right to say they don’t agree to Eminem’s lyrics, just as much as Eminem has the right to say he doesn’t like Homosexuals.
