My mind is blank. No one that has been mentioned yet, at least. Of course, I'm 16 now, and more into a variety of bands, not so much "pop" icons. As far as women: Julia Stiles and Natalie Portman. They are both strong-willed people who actually went to college and are wonderful at what they do. They are also beautiful women who seem more natural to me---as someone I can look up to without becoming a prositute. I can't think of many women singers. I'm not really into her music anymore but I think Mandy Moore has remained a good icon while still having a flourishing career. She has yet to have an album cover in scantily clad clothing, anyways. Men? I'm sorry but, unfortunately, I mostly go for looks. There are a few, though, that are hot and good at what they do. Chris Carraba (lead singer of Dashboard Confessional), Hayden Christensen (before the new Star Wars), and Johnny Depp. Orlando Bloom is the hottest of them all though (but not as good an actor.

hey bauhaus... It is not that she dislikes girls with nice bodies... But I think she dislikes them because: 1. Paris Hilton is a rich brat 2. Britney Spears is a prostitute wannabe and she wants to be a slave (bad news) 3. Lindsay Lohan?? hmm... don't know why she dislikes her. 4. J. LO?? don't know either... But to me, she is bad news because she keeps on changing her husbands 5. Lil' Kim?? don't know either.. 6. Christina Aguilera is ok but I think she is going for like Britney and she is trashy now.. with her look and all. To me, she'd be better off using her talents (like her Spanish/Irish stuff) to full blast rather than be a britney wannabe

Have no fear, Sir Sarcasm is here! Yes, I agree iamastar. When someone says "weiner", I think penis. When someone says they are "occupied", I think they are planning to masturbate. When someone says "jug" I think of breasts. It's horrible... I know...

I don't think there is one female pop icon you could say fits the whole generation. There are a bunch and they've shifted quite rapidly around. Personally, I don't pay much mind to them unless they're in the paper for some odd reason.

No one really. This generation is far too focused on sexuality. There is maybe only a handful of people that could be an icon.

I don't listen to many female artists and/or female fronted bands, but one that comes to mind is Amy Lee.

Some of the girls that I hang around are more into the rap or hard rock music. But the girls that aren't into that that I have notice like Hilary Duff and that Lohan girl. I am not trying to speak for every girl. This is just what I noticed where I live.
