speaking of new york and bands....the best band in my oppinion out of new york...Sonic Youth...*drools* a great band....an "indie" legend, and they are still kicking...Sonic Youth is pure joy

though I'm also a huge fan of Blondie and the other new york scene bands

the Dead Kennedys...but before the whole let's sue the pants off of Jello Biafra thing happend, Jello Biafra is a genious, his sarcastic and witty lyrical style was hilarious and informative, also his pollitical stunts were hilarious, his spoken word albums are also amazing, i suggest you people check them out, not only are they amazingly informative, they get you thinking and make you laugh

p.s. i also love the misfits too but im not a huge fan on what most people consider "punk-rock" to me "grunge" is just a sub-genre of punk rock, and i am a huge fan of the whole "grunge rock" thing, i just happen to be listening to mudhoney right now too one of the bands that influenced Kurt Cobain imensley, they are great

Hmm.. Well, I'd have to say Leftover Crack, The Misfits, The Clash, Dead Kennedys, Rancid, Smile Empty Soul, and The Vandals are "punk." (I haven't heard much of the Vandals, but they seem to be a good band.)

I simply hate NFG. They have no talent. Just like Simple Plan, Avril Lavigne, and Bowling for Soup.
