I know that I am a little too old to be on this website (I first checked this site out in 2001), but am interested to know what you guys out there think of Paris Hilton..as in line with the topic of what is wrong with pop culture and mass media today. Why is this person so fascinating and why are young kids today( and even people who are older) idolize and worship someone like this? Its just not right to me. I find it a sign that something is wrong with our society and our world today, in which there are people working hard to try to make a difference in our world. For example, there are those such as the Dalai Lama who teaches us about peace and healh or those in the field of medical science. Yet, the efforts of people who are intelligent, kind and seek to accomplish meaningful things intended for the good of our society are constantly being upstaged by some spoiled, conceited, self absorbed,*****y airhead who doesnt know what Walmart is. Someone who got all this fame and fortune without lifting a damn finger and fails to use it for good. Its just all about her. All she did "do" is to make a sex tape, pose for paparrazi, and act like a idiot making fun of middle America..and anyone who isnt rich like her. THIS is considered to be a role model these days? This is what people consider eligibale for respect and idoltry? Help me out here

I think it's a little pathetic to 1) make two boards on the same thing 2) say the exact same thing on both

Smile.
