Who else has seen this magnum opus of cinema?
Edit: I had no idea you guys were already discussing this in Some Facts when I first made this thread. Discuss it here anyway.

I just got back from seeing Snakes on a Plane and it kicked ass!
The original draft of The Lord of the Rings featured Chuck Norris instead of Frodo Baggins. It was only 5 pages long, as Chuck roundhouse-kicked Sauron's ass halfway through the first chapter.

I will now start using the phrase "Snakes on a Plane" for example: Customer: What do you mean you dont have the movie?! Me: Snakes on a plane. or *Car Wreck* Angry man: What the f--k?! You crashed into my lexus! Me: (Calmly) Snakes on a plane man...snakes on a plane. Snakes on a plane can be used as "s**t happens" or "what u gonna do?"

Haha that sounded like fun. We didn't exactly have crowd surfing going on in our theatre, but everyone was really into it so that made it funny. People just need to realize that this movie is just a joke basically. Think about all the recent piece of crap thrillers that have come out in the past years. The problem is that they are all so serious and end up being just corny. This movie reminded me of like the scary movies from the 80s like Chucky and Freddy where everything is just so ridiculous it ends up being funny. But anyway, I was curious what other people who saw this movie thought about it, and this is what I found. quote: MOVIENATION Average Grade B+ I saw it; I'd rate it: A - Sizzlin 69% B - Cool 9% C - Whatever 4% D - DVD-only 2% F - Refund 16% Total Votes: 1404 I've come to the conclusion that the only people who can't be amused by this movie are people who take life, and movies for that matter, way too seriously. So, basically, 16% of people who've seen it need to lighten up a bit and probably take that big, gaping stick out of their asses.

Yeah, my feelings exactly. A bunch of friends dragged me to see it opening night, and I didn't think I'd be able to appreciate it on any more than an ironic level (if even that).
It turned out to be a lot of fun. I got there an hour and a half before the movie started and the theatre was already half-full. Everyone in it was crazy. People were crowd-surfing, we were playing voleyball with a milk jug someone snuck in, and the level of energy was so high that I almost feared for my life. Then the movie started, and the crowd burst into wild applause at most every scene. When Jackson delivered his big line toward the end, the audience erupted. I was positive the theatre management was going to come in and start kicking people out.
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised. The movie's plot was a little shaky, but this self-spoof actually doubled as an affective action/horror movie. I normally hate movies like this, but this one inspired me enough to start a thread on YN about it.

Haha now there is a thread. I saw it last night, and despite what everyone thinks, its really not that bad. I thought it was funny because it was my kind of humor. It was really random and different. It has a plot, most people who haven't seen it don't really know that. They just assume it doesn't. But anyway, before everyone jumps on my case again and judges this movie, please go see it before making statements against it. This is coming from someone who thought it was going to be stupid too so its not like I'm a biased fan of it or anything.
