get yourself out there. write to various record companies and send them a demo. go to your local radio stations and let them play your song or talk on the radio. be creative! get involved in plays or theaters. do whatever you can to achieve your dream! it's not a lot but i hope i helped a little bit.

My friend is in a contest in our city and she is in the top 10 out of over 1,000. But u can enter certain contests that if u win will give u a record deal. or just try out for american idol.
