Is it just me or is it that the rich, powerful, famous black/minority and the upper echleons of society get away with pretty much anything, including murder, rackateering, sleeping with children, child molestation, etc.?
I mean, imagine if OJ Simpson were a regular guy ...he would have been sent to prison ASAP.
Or what about Pee Wee Herman? Had a regular joe done that, pssh, he/she'd have to be registered as a sex offender for life.
It amazes me really, then to see the people flock to these filth ...ugh.
I agree completely, but with kind of a different way of getting there. I think the problem is not like someone's setting up a crazy scheme to promote the minorities. I think what's happened is that this irrational group fear of racism has gotten everyone afraid to legislate toughly on minorities, lest their decisions be based on race, rather than belief.
I'm one to say racism is no longer an issue of the black people being "repressed". I'd say it to be an issue of everyone being afraid of the term and the implications.

I think that it seems that black rich people get away with things more because there are so few of them. Think of the thousands of rich white men who have been convicted of various crimes. Simply, their wrongdoings do not get as much publicism. No one took a second glance at Britney Spears' whirlwind marriage, but if Oprah did something like that, the press would be all over it.

hmm...I agree with everyone else on this one. The big factor here is money. It's like they say "con dinero baila el perro" which means with money the dog dances...or something like that.
