Cool, somebody who finally likes all the bands I would die for!

I think AFI, Linkin Park, and Evanesence all rock!
I dunno, i usually like alot of rock and alternative bands. Its just my opinion on things.

Jesus, that cover of Heary Shaped Box proves that Evanesance is a soulless corporate entitiy. They suck, I'm sorry. Their music is common at best and annoying at worst.

LPfan if you think davey is gay, your mistaken. He's announced countless times that he is not. Oh and afi became popular just recently because up until a year or so ago they were basically only an opening band but they got enough funding to start sending some **** in so media picked up on it and there ya go.

I don't see what's so wonderful about Evanescense.

I agree with the Linkin Park thing, but don't dis evanescence. But that is true. I totally thought Mike Shinoda was doing a duet or something. But then as soon as i heard it was adifferent band, i was so stoked.

It's the exact opposite where I'm at. There's like, a small group of guys who like AFI at my school and that's it. But I love AFI and I'm never gonna change that just because other people don't like them. But I want to know what the people who don't like them have against them. The sound of the music, the lyrics, what? Or is it because of Davey's sexuality? What's up with you people who don't like AFI?

Also, AFI is about ten years old. Why are people just NOW obsessing about them?

well if you look at most of your bands that you call punk they copy off of each other alot. listen to finch yellow card and thrice. They all have the same song style sure one has a violin in it but they still sound alike. This new band isnt very original but there arnt many outhere anymore. Why do you think afi stood out so much when they became popular? They dont look or sound like anything else out there right now.

You are so right, but why does it matter. I just post about the music I like because there are (or if there are) people out there who like the same kind of music I do, and if they want to post about it, then so be it.
So what if the music I like sucks, you have your likes and dislikes, so do I. So, let me re-phrase, because I really meant to come back and re-phrase it:

Maybe i would like her, but the fact is she can't sing and she's trying to play it off like she can. And that song "Heaven's A Lie" is totally copying Evanescence. Everything about it. I mean, they have some dude doing the same thing Paul from 12 Stones did on the song "Bring Me To Life." The songs are too similar.

Actually, Evanescence released a Cd before "Fallen" also. It had a couple of songs that are on the album Fallen right now, and a lot of other originals, but it is now impossible to find because it is out of print. But i listened to one of the songs on that album "Say Goodnight". It was good. But the point is, Evanescence has and did come out faster, and people seem to like them more. That's probably why it looks like Lacuna is copying. Because Evanescence became more famous before them, now Lacuna's band is trying to bust out and it's not working, because Amy Lee can sing way better than Lacuna. She sucks, and Evanescence will still continue to be a better band, with better vocals than Lacuna. That "Heaven's a lie" song is stupid. At first i thought it was Chirstian rock. The only way you can tell it's not is because of the song title.

Lacuna Coil is way older than Evanescence. And way cooler.

I checked on Amazon and it seems more likely that if anyone's copying, it's Evanescence. According to the release dates listed on Amazon.com Lacuna Coil had a CD out in 1998, while Evanescene had their first CD (I think) in 2003. No idea why I checked that... blame boredom. Easy scapegoat there.

I really don't care. They're a ton of bands that sound exactly alike.
