Turmion Kätilöt is an amazing Finnish screamer metal band. You might recognize them as doing the music in the flash animation Bunnykill on Newgrounds. Unfortunately their homepage is entirely in Finnish, and I cannot gain any information on them that I wish I could. If anyone can read Finnish, or otherwise know of any information about them it would be greatly appreciated.

GUYS, i seriously need some of the songs of TK! i cant find them on the web, and being a resident in Malaysia makes shipping such a *****. I beg every single one of you who owns a full mp3 for TK (espicially Verta ja Lihaa)... please send it to me. (i promis i will delete it after 24 hours, so my use wont be illegal Razz ) I have a gmail account, allowing to send and recieve emails with attachments up to 10MB in size, with 2GB storage space. If you want to send me the mp3s but dont have a gmail account (which u cant get normally, its still an exclusive Beta virsion) i can send you an invitation to create an account, as i am one of the first to join and have the ability to invite others.
Bottom line: i'm desperate to get TK's tracks, so help me out plz.... Frown

Finland! My history teacher is Finnish.

Jenos, don't spend time learning Finnish when you could learn another language. About 5 people actually speak it.

I'm from Finland, actually I'm from the same town where Kätilöt comes from. Big Grin I can translate something from their homepage Big Grin 24.04.2005: Dear hippies! You had bought the Niuva so much that it rose at second place, thanks to everybody. I heard that the radiohosts didn't know what "käkätin" means, when they had read that frontpage on air, hah...

Oh yes, I have both of The Rasmus' albums. I do indeed love them, I also have the music video for In The Shadows. Dr. Strangelove is forgiven, he isn't all that bad.

Forgive Dr. S Jenos, he can be quite the mofo. On second thought, don't forgive him. Also, The Rasmus is a Finnish band, they're pretty good, you should check out their song "In The Shadows".

P.S. Dr. Strangelove reeeeeaaaaalllllyyyy sucks. I mean it, it was terrible. I don't know how the hell it has gotten so much recognition.

well boys and girls, i've been busy trying to find programs and such that would allow a person to insert Finnish words and be translated into English. I found such a program, but whoever created it was either strung out on crack or doesn't know how to create a program at all. i figured i'd just look online for translation sites (which i've done before with no luck). i found a site that does just what we all want.

Free Online English to Finnish Translator

so my little Turmion Kätilöt-ians, go frolic in the translation world!

I scoured the databases of amazon, and still could not find anything concerning the Finnish group, and searches online for where to purchase the CD turned up fruitless. If anybody finds a link to where I could buy their music, please post the link.

Try amazon.com or some of the amazon.uk.com, if you dig around you are sure to find a place to buy even the most obscure cds and vinyl.

DrStrangelove, believe me, I would agree with you fullheartedly with any other group, but these guys ' sound is just astonishing. I usually don't listen to screamer metal, but when I heard this group I was kind of awestruck at how good they sounded.

Barkid, thanks for the compliment, I like my avatar a lot too, and as for the group, I just want to know how to order their music, or where to get their music. But unfortunately, I don't see myself reading Finnish anytime soon.

They are Finnish, they are a band, the type of music is screamer metal, and the music is amazing. What else does not make sense?

It sounds like you've about summed up everything there is to know about them, LOL, what were you hoping to learn from the web page? BTW Jenos, cool avatar.

No no, I understand what the individual words mean, but the phrase doesn't make any sense. "Finnish screamer metal" and "amazing" cannot appear in the same sentence. It's one of those things you learn in grammer school.
Oh, unless by "amazing" you mean "amazingly terrible"?
