What do you guys think of the new Arnold movie, " Collateral Damage"? Should they have released it or scrapped it after 9/11?

I think Oprah, Montel, Arsenio, and Judge Joe Brown are just fine. I've got a real problem with Oil Execs and Extortionists, and high level crime syndicates that think that having people greased to save a few bucks on their tax returns is the solution to the world's problems. Consider this, cross the wrong person and end up a target of someone like Vince, better have a good pair of track shoes, and know the turf well. The whole madness of the American system is, there is no rhyme or reason. We are best defended as a nation by the very fact that there are black markets here, who would dare invade a nation with as hostile a set of grinding circumstances to contend with as a conquerer. We are truly an undersirable to the rest of the world, and it flows right down from the top, like a Casino spilling over into the Falls.

Money is the root of all evil. I suppose there is some kind of ethic that can justify murder in cold blood for money. And I'm sure it's "a personal philosophy" that some people hold dearly. But isn't it kind of ironic that the roles were reversed in this film, we don't see the murderous LA gangs causing the ruckus, this time it's the white anglo male who is the bad guy...Hmmmm....maybe there's something about that disconnect that is striking a chord with a certain set these days. You'd have to have a nation of millions to take out someone as "cool" as Vince the hitman. "Bring the noise."

This makes 2 movies with Collateral in the title that represent questionable values systems. I thought Cruise was good in Collateral but only because he played the ice cold part to the T. The entire premise of the movie was garbage though. Michael Mann had something with Heat, but I think Collateral was his Swan Song. Chris Bradley http://www.noisecontrolpub.com

I've never seen it, but if it is about terrorist attacks..well, I've had enough of all that..and to see a movie about it well, it would annoy me..

Collateral Damage is a movie based on terrorism, and yes, it may pull and tug on a few heartstrings, but I think it may even help us along in the healing instead of driving us back down in the hole again. Seeing what we saw on (OMG) September 11th may show us how our feelings differ five months after the fact. It might show us how far we've actually come. Peace, Birdy P.S.: The reason I put OMG up there is because everybody but everybody's been talking about THE DATE nonstop and I dislike putting that already-cliched phrase in my documents.

Geez...it's just a movie! Why scrap it after everyone on that set worked so hard to make it? Should they have scrapped "Swordfish" ? You know...when the helicopter or whatnot hit the buildings? It's a movie! It's not real!
