I'm sorry but the 5.6.7.8.'s are one of the greatest rock & roll bands out there today. They've somehow captured the essence of Rock's golden age in engrish lyrics.

Unfortunately, you're not grasping the reasoning behind labels such as rock. It's rarely, if ever, based on perception. There are rules. But alas, such is life.

I would never in my life consider Michael Jackson a rocker. I would never consider Rick Springfield a rocker. That doesn't make me wrong, that means we disagree. Get over it.

Lol, no, it's not. Pop is in the eye of the beholder, as it has several definitions. And MJ won best Rock Vocal for Beat It. Because it was a ROCK song. Really, it's not the artist, it's the music. Michael Jackson is a popular artist, and depending on the MUSIC and the INSTRUMENTS, he could only be nominated for certain awards for certain songs. Rick Springfield, however, was never nominated outside of the rock genre because he's never BEEN outside the rock genre.

Michael Jackson won a rock grammy, too. Look, rock is in the eye of the beholder.
