i like Green Day (hope to see them live) , Blink 182, Faithless , Placebo , GnR and some roamnian band like E.m.i.l , Vama Veche ..cool laid back music in general..nothing to metal nothing to pop

the list is always changing right now its... FEAR, One Way System, The Street Brats, The Dickies, The Casualties, Angelic Upstarts, Sex Pistols The Vibrators, The Exploited and The Briggs. if you've heard of most of these bands then you have very decent music taste in my opinion

Breaking Benjamin, The Answer, Against The Fire These are all awesome bands and I've seen them all live. Everyone that likes rock, any kind of rock, should really check these guys out.

Well, there is a difference Strangelove. I listen to both modern rock and rock & roll, but I like the modern style more. Has more rock and less roll. Some of my favorite bands of the moment are: Green Day 3 Doors Down Maroon 5 Coldplay Dashboard Confessional AC/DC Rammstein I know, I know, I sort of spanned genres there.
The more you know, the less you don't know.

Anberlin Bloc Party Stroke 9 The Killers Yeah Yeah Yeahs Hot Hot Heat Coldplay The Get Up Kids Against Me! Elefant The Velvet Teen Franz Ferdinand Interpol Brand New Penfold and about a million more... most of the music I listen to is underground emo/indie, but I love old rock too.
