My fave rock bands would have to be: Nirvana, the White Stripes, Modest mouse, no doubt (rock? well, maybe their songs from the mid 90s) the postal service, rhcp, beck, smashing pumpkings, pearl jam, cat power, against me!, alkaline trio...even i've tuned out already.

ACDC is good too. I like any kind of rock really. Static-X is a fav of mine too including Orgy and Jet. It just really depends on your mood.

I think a lot of the bands listed by you guys are alternative. Real rock is ACDC and Motley Crew. Personally I am a Velvet Revolver and ACDC fan. When it comes to alternative, I like Jet and Sum 41. I like some more bands too
