Favorite genres, favorite authors, favorite books, favorite magazines? Classics? New favorites?
I like non-fiction and fantasy literature, Bradbury and Vonnegut constantly battle it out as my all time favorite authors, but Michael Scott and his Alchemyst series have been an obsession lately.
You?

ahh i am the same way basically as you! ill have to take a look at the Alchemyst. I've heard about it before. But i completely agree with you. Right now im actually reading Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson which is real good and my mom just ordered me this book coming out that I heard is supposed to be a good series called The Fairy Godmother Academy. Have you heard of it?
ohhh i just googled it and found the official site for that.. did you know you can already read some of the book on there?? it's http://fairygodmotheracademy.com i guess it's not out yet?
ahhh yes thanks! I also found this haha.. did you see this either? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMFJ_ulvrJI
No i didn't see that.. Where on earth did you find that. It seems like the book will be kinda huge though.. hmmm

LOL fair enough. If you've sworn off the books, you still might find the Alchemyst Game pretty fun. PS. I ordered Exquisite Corpse off Amazon. Color me excited!!!!

Yikes. Is it wrong to be interested in this title? Have you heard of the Alchemyst series?
Haha no, I'd say it's quite healthy. If you like that, her other books Drawing Blood and Lost Souls are pretty sweet too. And yes, I've heard of the Alchemyst series, but I'm strictly against reading Young Adult novels. Just a personal vendetta of mine...

Yeah I've heard of that book from a couple other folks. Exactly how disgusting is it? Because I do like me my disgusting from time to time.

For books, I'll read anything, except Young Adult novels. My favorites of the moment are: Wraeththu by Storm Constantine The Nightrunner Series by Lynn Flewelling Watership Down by Richard Adams The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde As Meat Loves Salt by Maria McCann Lost Souls by Poppy Z. Brite Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z Brite (Horribly disgusting but friggin' awesome) Story of the Eye by Georges Bataille (Also very grotesque) Lord of the Flies by William Golding And the only magazines I read are Rue Morgue, Horror Hound and Fangoria. Although, Fangoria has been kinda lame lately.

I dig those alternative culture mags like Revolver, etc. but Time is still good for good old fashioned news. And I agree that video game magazines are kind of lame...I think it's more fun to just discover any given game on your own and not have all these ridiculous cheat codes at your fingertips.

I read magazines almost exclusively, so I should probably go read books more often. I pretty much only read music magazines, metal or punk magazines in particular. Zero Tolerance, Metal Maniacs, and Maximum Rock & Roll are all great. Just acquired my first issue of MRR not long ago, but Zero Tolerance and Metal Maniacs have been with me for a bit longer. Used to read a lot of Gamepro when I was in Elementary school. Also got a pretty big stack of Metal Hammer and Revolver magazines in my room, though they don't interest me anymore. Video games still do, but since I don't devote as much time to video games as music, I don't buy video game magazines anymore.
