the clash,sex pistols, stray cats
a$$ baboons of venus, ming tran, the cramps

 

i feel like they're all punk. punk has just evolved from it's original state. those who say that the ataris, blink182, green day, simple plan, and yellowcard aren't punk-type bands, fail to realize that all those bands evolved from bands like the sex pistols and the clash. its just a continuous evolution, as with all types of music.

stray cats are a retro band, not punk

still the clash and the sex pistols. but i don't really consider the stray cats punk. come on, brian setzer?

Simple plan and new found glory are only pop punk
