Recently I bought the Dresden Dolls's CD. And I am in love. Honestly. The best CD I own.

I love how the music is heavy, but its thanks to a piano, not bunch of guitars. I love the lyrics as well, especially Coin Operated Boy, Missed Me, and Slide.

So, any other fans of this punk-caberet-ish duo?

I grew tired of the Dresdon Dolls...

I like these calm little moments before the storm.

This thread is a little old...but dammit who cares I love the Dresden Dolls. I forget where I heard them first....but it might have been on Celtic's xanga (if so, THANK YOU)

Yea I have their self-titled album, and want A is for Accident, but I don't know where I could get it around here. Also, I believe they just came out with a DVD, I might buy it.

I find that the Dresden Dolls and Rasputina have their similarities, they both have that unique sound.

I heard coin operated boys on the radio station. I liked it. But I'm hesistant to actually buy the CD, the lyrics were pretty simple that beats sounded a tad too generic.
I'll probably sample before I buy, but I'll check it out.

I thought the same, but I don't regret buying the CD. Some of the songs are very powerful, like Missed Me, for example. Some tackle decently serious issues (pedophilia and rape).

I don't know much of Rasputina. Are the Dresden Dolls and Rasputina that similar?

If you like the Dresden Dolls I would recommend that you try and listen to Rasputina.
