Hm.. Doc, I would say that Saw was actually more suspenseful, so I don't even think it should be on this thread.

I loved Saw, but I haven't seen Se7en so I wouldn't know. Audition wasn't half as good as people said. I like old horror films, now that I realize it. Or just pyschological thrillers. Bloodfest movies aren't a big deal for me, as long as it's smartly done. And if you wanna see a really shitty movie, rent PiÑata: Survivor Island. I like the Omen ones too, and the Wicker Man.

All of them except Saw are classic cheesy horror movies. They're not actually scary, just, well, campy. That's the good part about them. Now onto Saw: Everyone acts like this is the greatest horror movie in years. But I found it really derivative and just over the top. There's two types of good horror movies: Cheesy over-the-top movies that might be scary but don't really take themselves seriously (ie. Friday the 13th.) and serious, mindfuck-woah movies that have a deep plot and creep you out (ie. Se7en, Event Horizon). Saw was over the top, but tried to take itself seriously. In the end I was like, "Oh that's a neat movie, but it wasn't that original and didn't need to be so ridiculous".

If I made a horror it would probly have to be a Nightmare on elm street Prequel (or mabey a sequel?)

You Know they Dont make Scary movies like they used to. All the new ones suck, with exeptions of Jeeppers Creeppers (1 and 2) and the ring (1 and 2)

Dude, I'm probably one of the biggest Eliza Dushku fans..but Wrong Turn SUCKED. Darkness Falls wasn't scary...but everytime I'm in the dark..I always try to make sure I can like..leap into the light. I don't actually leap..but I like no know I have the option. I have yet to see a horror movie that genuinely scared me. And I've seen 'em all. One day I will...and I will pee in my pants scared. It'll be a good day.
