music is a HUGE part of my life. i listen to it every day and it just means so much to me. i like to know that other people are going through things too, and that helps me feel not so alone in the world and in my trouble. also, it just feels so GOOD sometimes to totally ROCK OUT and like bounce off the walls when im mad or SOOOOO happy! rocking on my electric guitar is a great way for me to let off energy, and also writing my own songs lets me understand what im feeling and get something creative out of it. music rocks my world just as much as AVRIL LAVIGNE!

if what the people are saying to you makes sense and sounds "pretty" to you then you like it.
i just say keep an open mind to however it sounds...i can listen to just about anything and just so long as i understand what they are saying i can get something out of it.
dont knock it unless you understand it.
being a wannabe musician i have much respect for anyone who takes the time to spread their ideas. if they do it through music and it makes you happy then listen and learn and enjoy.

Music is a huge part of anyone's life now, whether you be Christian, prep, goth or punk. For everybody, there is music.
I think sometimes music changes the way you think. You can listen to a song for absolutely ages and hear the same thing all over again, then maybe go through a period of not listening to it. When you go back to it, it's not the same. You'll hear things you never heard before, and certain lyrics will stand out.
Without music, this generation would have no realt way to express themselves. Sure, poetry's good...but music has something nothing else will ever have.
Just my two cents.

Korn isn't heavy... anyway, music tends to sort of reinforce my mood depending on what I listen to. If I need to relax I listen to metal, if I'm depressed or in a relatively good mood I listen to ska, and so on.

Yeah. If I didn't have heavy music like Korn and NIN occasionally to let off steam, I would probably have had that extra "kick" of anger that most likely would have ment me ending it when I borderlined awhile back. I normally listen to lighter music because it does tend to change your current feelings for the better though. On the otherhand when your extremely angered, something really light will just screw with your mind.
