Or more accurately...what's up with our obsession with Paris Hilton?
In case you've been living under a rock for the last month and somehow managed to miss the onslaught of news clips, here's the scoop. Paris Hilton, heiress to the Hilton family fortune and skinny blonde “celebrity for celebrity’s sake” has been sentenced to serve 23 days in jail for violation of her probation. So my question is not whether or not she “deserves” jail time, but rather why should I care?
I don’t lose sleep over the thought of some spoiled, selfish celebrity spending the night in a private jail cell reserved for “high profile prisoners,” when there are countless underprivileged men and women, not to mention kids, serving undeserved time without the luxury of a private cell. I think the question that needs to be asked is whether anyone, regardless of social or economic status, should have the option to buy her way to a more comfortable cell space.
What do you think? Should everyone be treated the same behind bars? Or is it as they say: “The person who coined the phrase ‘justice is blind’ probably didn't have any money”?

Paris Hilton and her lifestyle is personally her own business. but the only reason she is famous is because she puts herself out there to get attention from other when she really isnt that great, someone who does the things she does is striving for something that they cant show the whole world, what im saying is. shes pretty much just fake.

Paris is a spoiled brat. she thinks she should get special treatment? FOR WHAT? if anyone who ISN'T little miss priss Paris Hilton were to go off and drive while their license was suspended, and be intoxicated for that matter, they would be thrown in jail. no questions asked. she has done nothing to deserve a lessened punishment. if anything, she should be there for an extended amount of time.
teach that little bitch a think or two.

I also love that she's complaining about how she thinks it's a cruel an unusual punishment. And she's asking Schwartzenegger(spelling?) for help. I can't even think about it without laughing.
you don't have to be like everyone else to be liked.

You shouldn't, yet here you are. quote: What do you think? Should everyone be treated the same behind bars? Or is it as they say: “The person who coined the phrase ‘justice is blind’ probably didn't have any money”?
I would say that people getting special treatment in prisons because of wealth alone is appalling. In Paris's case, her fame and protection probably play a role, too.
And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"

Uh she is a big girl now. Okay? It's her life not yours. She has the money so what. If you don't have any get a job. Better yet if don't want to do the time don't do the crime. I mean isn't that the best way to stay out of a jail cell?
Oh my gosh there's a message in my cheerios, it says, OOOOOOO
