Question:
Personally, I'm not fond of what is happening in the hip-hop world today i'd like it to take a jurrastic change to a more concious, melodic thing almost like the old school...but what does everyone else think....what would u like to see from it..?

Choices:
I just listen to old school...and who cares about it now a days
I HATE RAP! Oldschool and new
i never really thought about it or havn't listened to alot of differnt kinds of it
I Love This new stuff!
I like this stuff but wouldn't mind seeing it change a bit to somthing more deep and smooth

I like some rap...I'm strange when it comes to this. I eaither like blatant tough guy stuff like DMX, while most other stuff you can tell they are making it up and they most likely grew up in a suburb. Or I like old mellow stuff like Tribe Called Quest.

I hate most of it, but what I do like...I love.

Maby all of you music haters should get together and do something better with your time. For example instead of just complaining, try to create your own type of music. Cuse personally i like rap and dont want it to change. But i also like old skool. But yall just complain waayy too much for my taste. i dont like country but i wouldn't talk about it like it was tasteless garbage( Roll Eyes ) So all im saying is respect everyones music so they can respect yours.

PS, we are soooooooooo sorry for Vanilla Ice. I apologize on behalf of white people that they attempted rap and it's quite disgraceful. We now, we're in contempt for that happening, but he's down to earth now competing in celebrity boxing so I think we've resolved that predicament.

It explains itself in the simpleness of it's own when Eminem comes out and cuts an album in less then a week!!! They have incredible talents with machines and ruining decent records of real musicians to make incoherent ramblings about thugs and mother******s. TuPac is my favorite. The guy is dead, and comes out with a cd every 2 months lol. They have even taken the extreme to diversifing culture by taking classes in Hip Hop and R&B in HARVARD!!!!!!! Think of the professor who teaches that class and his moral to his kids, "And Johnny, that's why Dr. Dre capped that biatch to the floa, teaching us the great philosophy of Dr. Dre, that redemption shall be reserved for takin your stash. Now, go to P Diddy over there and learn the basics of calling your lawyer after nightclub shootings. Atta boy." Ahhhhh, well at least it's better then country, but quite with the depressed lyricist scherade. Leave it to Allanis Morsette. Later for now

if i were to say ALL hip hop was discriminating towards women (as did Conservative15). i could say all pop "princesses" were fake and plastic, country music is all about being a hick in texas, and rock is a bunch of head-banging and screaming! just to be clear i dont believe any of those things. i dont like hip hop and rap but many other people do, occasionally for the gifted writers and the lyrics they write. youve got admit EMinem is a gifted lyricist but has some serious anger management issues. hey i'd like to see some more votes thanks to those who did....i dunno who said jurrasic 5 was new....u got good taste if u like them but deff. you should look more into the old school n underground rap cuz they are older...but if u take interest in that stuff then deff. look into Common, mos def, a tribe called quest, talib kweli and blackalicious as well...these are all good hip-hop acts..if i can even use the word acts with them...Neway thanks for voting to the ppl who did...im liking that i see alotta educated more "real" hip-hop listeners in here. good stuff!

Ok hold on. I can understand if you just don't like rap. But how can you say its racist and anti feminine. There are several successful popular female rap artists. Have u ever heard of Queen Latifah, Missy Elliot, Da Brat, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, or Eve? They are living proof. Not to mention, not all rappers disrespect or degrade women. 2Pac and Biggie are a few rappers that made songs in tribute to the ladies. And there have been a handful of successful Latino and White rappers. Ever hear of Big Pun, Bubba Sparxx, Beastie Boys, Fat Joe, or Vanilla Ice?
You can't judge all of hip hop on what a few people say.

what about the fresh prince and dj jazzy jeff? that wasn't rascist or anti-feminine. well, maybe the song "girly had a moustache". but other than that, it was about parents not understanding, the summertime, and moving across the country to live with your extremely rich aunt and uncle. that's quality rap.

old school rap rocks my world.

See, it's funny that you used the non-word jurrastic, because there's this awesome new rap group, you've probably heard of them, called the jurrasic five. They are trying to take it back to the old skool. And I love em for it.

Old school rap is so much better than new school. Some new stuff is tight, but not much of it compares with old school. Back in tha day was when hip hop had diversity and creativity and a better sound. But now alot of artists just wanna be mainstream and they make all these party songs. There's very few popular rappers left in tha game that are actually different from your typical rapper.
