Dragostea din tei by Haiducci was an online phenomenon, with popularity similar to We Like To Party by the Vengaboys (Six Flags Commercial). I was just wondering who else has heard this song, or seen the crazy kid who danced to it for that matter. For all who have not seen it, it can be found here .

I like these calm little moments before the storm.

Hello [on a cellphone], greetings, it's me, an outlaw, I ask you, my love, to accept happiness. Hello, hello, it's me, Picasso, I sent you a beep [cellphone signal], and I'm brave [or strong], But you should know that I'm not asking for anything from you.
You want to leave but you don't want don't want to take me, don't want don't want to take me, don't want don't want don't want to take me. Your face and the love from the linden trees, And I remember your eyes. <x2>
I call you [over the phone], to tell you what I feel right now, Hello, my love, it's me, your happiness. Hello, hello, it's me again, Picasso, I sent you a beep [cellphone signal] and I'm brave [or strong], But you should know that I'm not asking for anything from you.
You want to leave but you don't want don't want to take me, don't want don't want to take me, don't want don't want don't want to take me. Your face and the love from the linden trees, And I remember your eyes.

hey i was surfing the net looking for something and a link got me here...i saw something abt dragostea din tei and i just had to check it out.. i'm actually from romania and god...i like laughed like crazy...it's not the numa numa song...and does anyone know what dragostea din tei means anyway? and the lyrics...vrei sa pleci dar nu ma nu ma iei...it doesn't mean anything...it's really a huge crap...don't get me wrong romania is proud that a band like o-zone represented us and opened the way for other bands in europe and the world..but really...very few romanians like this song and ozone is seen as symbol of crappy music...it's that stupid rythm that people like i guess and they're from moldova actually, not romania in case u wanted to know please..romania is more than a bad tune...
-----"""really... i heard that it was in hebrew."""
No. Romanian. It's a weird language; one of the surviving Romantic languages, the others being Italian, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. Yet Romania is in a really different part of Europe than the rest, mostly surrounded by Slavic speaking countries. This makes it a unique language.
Try getting Dragostea Din Tei by Haiducii or the DJ Ross. I have about five different versions of this song.
I wish O-Zone would make another similar song...the others I've heard by them are lackluster in comparison.
"To see the world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wild flower. Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour..." -William Blake
From what I understand, and have been told, the whole song is in romainian. If you do a google search for the numa numa song, you can get lyrics, and translate it. I think the dance is pretty funny.
I heard this song in June last year on the Ost See on the German/Polish border, just south of Denmark. It is a great song and all the kids liked it. I am an American btw.
