a role model is different to everyone...i think they should stand up for themselves and never forget what they believe in. My role models are my sister and Saint Joan of Arc. (that may sound cheesy, but it's true!)

much love,
rito

A role model should be someone you look up to and want to be like they don't have to be famous. Like my role model for instance, is from a comic that I bet nobody here has even heard of: Master Kakashi from Naruto. Nobody in here probably has ever heard of him.

Okay.....my role-model is far from famous! She is my teacher and quizbowl coach.....heck, why should someone that you don't even know personally be your role-model??? I just don't get it! To me, a role-model is someone who you can trust, talk to, respect, look up to, and most of all be friends with for life. I'm not sure how someone famous can be your role-model.....it's impossible for you to talk to them, and I'm thinking that most of us aren't friends with anyone famous. You have to be able to hold your role-model very close to your heart. I could never say that my true role-model is someone famous. [thats my 2cnts Wink ]

To be a straight arrow in everything...wise, mature & loving (others-centered). LOVE is what you do for ALL others that is in their highest or best interest, anytime, anywhere, selflessly! A role model will mentor/disciple or rescue anyone, without prejudice or arrogance (( http://jamessorrell.proboards19.com/. )) jamessorrell@yahoo.com

I think that a good role model is a person that makes it their goal to help someone in need and not make some one think that droping out of school is the best thing to do. My friends don't do things like smoke or do drugs. They understand that I go through that stuff every day and they want to be there for me!!

Personally I think that my friends a re the best role model I could ever have!!!

well there's role model like someone to look up to and aspire to, then there's the role model that's more of a idol, someone you just love, maybe wish you were, but aren't stupid enough to drop out of highschool, sell drugs and rap about it to be.

my rolemodels are
My english teacher- she's brillant and cares about what she's doing
Carl Sagan- brilliant again and actually cared about humanity
Angelina Jolie - great actress and cares alot about the state of the world and works to do something about it
