4. im not sure if ull go to hell for piercing ur ear more than one spot id hve to ask my dad and uk i really dont want to do tht.

i totally agree tht people should consider the consequences of piercings and tatoos like tht.
Wolfie....
We might not see it like tht but most employers would. Some companies will allow u to work but u will hve to wear long sleaves all the time.
wow, someone's a rebel. i knew this from the start but now i'm just shocked. lol u don't have to ask ur dad. i just won't do it lol

quote: Percing ears is acceptable for women not men but id like to get one ear pierced with a diamond earing lol.
Yes but churches are decorated with satin, cloth rugs and such not graven images. unless ur church is the church of prostitutes, harlets or George carlin lol jkjk.
ok, since when do u wanna get ur ear piereced? lol r u serious cuz if u are u never cease to surprise me. i see u as more of the kind of person who is all against guys getting their ears pierced, but i guess i could be wrong. quote: lol y didnt u check out my profile to check lol. I personally dont care i would like to do some of this stuff but i know i cant because it breaks my beliefs.
omg what other stuff? now ur really freaking me out! idk what to think anymore quote: see the way i see it is that your beliefs should be what you WANT, not what you have to do.
Excellent point Wolfie. kudos quote: "thou shalt not give thy ear multiple piercings nor shalt one gauge thy lobe" god said to abraham. genesis 5:22
lol wolfie u never fail to make me laugh. quote: I didnt say we didnt lol. back in the day women would dress their best 24/7 now its whenever more than likely a wedding or funeral.
dressing your best is completely different in todays standards. So Romashu do u mean like suit and tie and dresses and that kinda thing? lol well if u ever start dressing to ur best i'll start too. ha, in my opinion i think i dress realitively well compared to those girls who wear sweatpants all the time, and the guys who wear clothes that r 10 times too big. that is sooo gross btw. i prefer a guy who wears clothes that actually fit anyday quote: quote: Originally posted by Wolfie: I'm sorry that we're too busy with careers and school to worry about how we appear to you.
Oh sweet jesus Wolfie! I didn't say I cared, b/c I don't! In fact, I've noticed recently, that I favor people who have tattoos, piercings, gauged ears, over those who don't.
What I meant, and said, was you should know about how detrimental tattoos/piercings can be to your standing in other situations. You should be okay with that before you get something permanently done.
yup yup, i totally agree with that last paragraph Ok i have one last thing. so If i decide that i wanna get my ears pierced again does that mean i'm gonna go straight to hell? this is really bugging me because i really wanna get my ears pierced again but i absolutely don't wanna go to hell either.

SnstrMstr has a point. I don't think there is anything morally wrong with any body modification, but society just isn't as advanced as me and having tattoos, piercings, and stretched lobes can really harm the way people see you. I don't mean the, "I don't care what she thinks!" people. I'm referring to the, "I need this lady to think I'm a serious candidate for this job/promotion!" kind of way. Or even, "I wonder why my fiance's parents hate me? Do you think it could be the giant LA I got tattooed on my left cheek?" kind of way. If you really want a tattoo/piercing, go for it, but consider the financial and social consequences first.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but whenever anyone gets a tattoo they need to really think about how it will affect ALL aspects of their life. For instance, there's still a lot of places that won't hire people with visible ink.

Plz tell me u just made tht up lol. Ok it sorta depends on the generation multi piercings is a no no the idea of stretching idk no one in my denomination does tht but i think it doesnt matter the expectancy of the way women dress has gone down hill in the worlds eyes some of the older members would be strongly against it but most people under the age of 30 prbly wouldnt care.

Yeah, that's right there in the bible, go check if you don't believe me. But, yeah, I'm not sure about the church's standing on this one. The multiple piercings one i think might be a no-no, but I don't see the problem with stretching b/c its not permanent if you don't get too big.

lol wolfie Okay then- Ear piercings are acceptable only on women. -Is it acceptable for a woman to have more than one piercing per ear? -Is it acceptable to stretch those piercings? (I'm asking about what your denomination's position on these things are, because I'm pretty sure they don't address it in the bible.)

Let me just list all of them for u i dont think theres tht many. Tattoos, Piercings anywere but the ears(for women, Men cant pierce anything.), Cutting, slashing, Drugs except those prescribed or for medical use, Alcohol, chocking urself to get high, suicide. I think thats it lol.Wolfie ur absolutly right but as children we listen and take ideals from our parents to try to understand how to function in the world properly. then u could look at it as obeying the commandment honor thy father and mother.

The way I see it people will follow the bible BECAUSE they are raised in a religious household. Just like children of democrats or republicans often take on their parents beliefs. A lot of people just listen to whatever their parents tell them instead of thinking independently. ^.^

I see it that way too but it seems as though im trapped because i was taught differently since i was born. For the record people follow the bible cause they want to most of the time especially if theyve been raised in a religious household.
