Rufus Wainwright, Frank Sinatra, Bush, No Doubt, H.O.T., Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ayumi Hamasaki, Yo-Yo Ma, Globe, Jay Chow... ... actually, I usually listen to random music I find by chance... and sound appealing. My most recent find has been Requiem, from the Amadeus Soundtrack. It was composed by Mozart.

I have to say rock is what i really like--after answering "who's the your fav hip hop artist of all time?" I remember hip hop is what runs thru my veins. So the time i was just liking rock was just a phase as i remember all of the rap, and start listening to the new rap out there.
But here are my favorites: Rock: Staind, KoRn, Limp Bizkut, Papa Roach, Red Hot Chilie Pepper, Marilyn Manson.
Hip Hop: notorious B.I.G, DMX, Ja Rule, 2pac, black eyed peas, Ice cube, 50 cent, missy elliot, snoop, the neptunes, lil kim
R&B: Beyonce, TLC(love them foreva), lauren hill
pop: justin timerlake, christina (i only like these two cuz justin is more hip hop, and i feel like christina)
latin: shakira, los tigres del norte, mark anthony

I like BSB, Britney Spears, Enya, Billy Idol, and a bunch of other artists too many to be named. Actually, Britney Spears, being only 16 when she began her musical career, indirectly helped me start composing classical music. (I now have over 20 compositions and more on the way.) The BSB were one of the first male groups I had ever heard that had such a depth and richness of tenor and bass sound. You rarely hear that in pop music anymore; in choral and classical music you hear strong male singers, but the BSB have demonstrated that strong, low-pitched, resonant male voices have a definite place in today's music, and they also paved the way for N'Sync, 98 Degrees, No Authority, O-Town, Crazy Town, and all the other 'boy bands' who have come into existence in the late '90's and early '00's. Enya's music has some of the same atmostphere as my music does; very ethereal. Her music sounds like it has existed always, and mine has been described the same way. Billy Idol is just a great rocker. His music has great, steady, sometimes chilling baselines, wonderful, thrilling guitar runs, and his vocals give so much energy to the songs he does. That's why I like those main four groups/artists. The other artists that I like have some or all of these characteristics I just named. Peace, Love and Joy, Birdy

Hey, I like a lot of different types of music, and my friends think I am crazy because I have so many cds but oh well. I like almost anything that makes the top 40, and i respet any artist who uses their talents for good and doesn't push every limit just to annoy people, even if their music doesn't appeal to me. It really depends on what mood i am in with what I am listening to, like when I am just in a really hyper crazy mood I love to listen to, pop and some rock meaning whatever is popular at the time, just songs that are really upbeat and happy. When I am mellow and trying to relax I love R&B artists such as Usher, Destiny's Child, and a lot of other people that I can't think of right now. I like all music and as long as musicians aren't trying to write songs that give a lot of people a lot of horrible ideas and they are responible about what they put out then I do respect them. And even if someones taste in music isn't the same as mine I don't put them down for it, because everyone listens to different stuff, and that is not what i base the personality of the person on. Although i can't stand it when I have friend's who put down what I listen to, when I have never put down their taste in music. There is no right and wrong music, it is all about personal taste, otherwise why would so many DIFFERENT types all be SO popular!

I don't really think that I like any particular genre for any particular reason. I like artists that I can relate to. I like different styles of music, but I like great, well thought lyrics more than anything. I live for music, so this could go long. I love Ani DiFranco, Liz Phair, Garbage, Poe, Tori Amos, Joy Drop, and old school No Doubt because they all have really strong female points of view. They are strong women and I love them for that. I can relate to their songs and experiences. I love bands like Weezer, Cake, Everclear, Wallflowers, Folk Implosion, The Cure, Nirvana, Dead Kennedy's, Black Flag, Blink 182, King Missile, NOFX, XTC, Lit, U2, Elvis Costello, and Dashboard Confessional because thay have songs about life and/or politics that I relate with. I know that some of them, like Blink or King Missile, seem to be realy dumb and immature, at times they are but they have other songs with real emotional balance that can get me through some hard times. I just like lyrics that let me know other people have been through what I'm going through. I also love Bob Dylan and The Beatles because of their depth. They can always make me think and I like that. They were pioneers in music and paved the way for so many other bands. I love that they were always doing new things musically and were some of the first to write songs about controversial subjects. They did what they wanted musically and personally and didn't care about the media, etc. They taught me a lot about life.
