Anyone else into the German, well, eccentric band Rammstein? Everyone must have heard the infamous "Du Hast" a few times, it was on the Matrix soundtrack and all.

I bought Senschut and Reise Reise about 3 days ago. I like them both but prefer Reise Reise.

I listen to Reise, Reise in the morning and the rest of the CD at diffrent points in the day I leave it on repeaet if I have a test in German the next day I can't say it helps but it sounds great. when my friends ask what reise means I confuse them becasue in modern High German it means Travel but for this CD the correct translation is Arise which I belive is an older middle german translation of the word and after I explain all that there is a silence where any one around looks at me like a space alien

From http://www.rammstein.com:

RAMMSTEIN’S MUSICAL REISE, REISE BEING CONTINUED

Good news: Rammstein are already working on a musical successor. From the production period of the last album, there are several songs, which did not find a place on "Reise, Reise" due to dramaturgical reasons but are now brought to light. During Rammstein's visit at a Berlin studio, more songs have been recorded; and today the mixing session of the new album starts, which is supposed to be released September this year. A title for the Reise further is not yet affirmed, we keep you posted!

It's so funny. This guy at my school, whenever he's done listening to that cd, he starts talking in german. subconsiously.

Love you, too. I really do.

And gaaah, why did you mention du hast? I'm sick of people saying "Ram-steen? Who are they? Oh, they sang du hast?? DU, DU HAST, DU HAST MEESH! It means "you hate" right?" I HATE WHEN PEOPLE SAY THAT! (It means you have)

You know, D, you could always give me money and I'll buy it on my mom's credit card.

P.S. The "I made my own belt" bit gave it away.

Yeah, I know of the whole Du Hast hype. It was the first song I heard from then, I was like 7 or 8 and it scared the crap out of me. It always was stuck on my head, later on I started to get to know Rammstein. And yeah, the "It means you hate" thing is likely just an excuse to blame the band for evil.

I order their stuff on Ebay, posters and stuff. I've the Sehnsucht one, and plan on buying more. Too bad you can't order from their site though Frown

I'm likely of the few Rammstein fans in Puerto Rico. Big Grin

I like Moscow on Reise Reise. That's an awesome song. The russian girls sounds so cute!

I have Mutter and Live Aus Berlin. My overall favorites are speiluhr and sonne and adios.
I don't have Engle on anything, but the wistleing part gets stuck in my head like nothing else ever has before.

Awesome band. Major props.

I don't understand much either...I just memorize the songs and German and then look for the translations in English.
