I just don't understand why the world revoles around sex and money these days. Get a life, people. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i think i love you.
that's SO TRUE. society is falling.
It's our fault it's falling. Some rapper makes a video with near naked women, rapping about how they should wear her out with sex, and you girls dance to it, and sing the lyrics out loud and play the CDs.
oh i know it's our fault. which is why i loathe society.

Okay but seriously, most of the "hard""thug""player""pimp""gangsta" dudes that I see at the nightclub are really just losers... even the ones that really do carry guns and deal drugs and get lots of "hoes". The whole gangster mentality thug MTV rapper wannabe thing is at best cute in high school, but let me tell you that it gets absolutely sad when you start getting into your mid twenties. Your dresscode of jerseys, a hat worn as insymmetrically as possible, pants that hang well below your waste, a belt hanging off of you instead of securing said pants, a wife-beater, and a plain white t-shirt, are all not allowed at most upstanding nightclubs. If you do get past the door and try to spit your "game" at most of the self respecting females you get politely dismissed at best, but more likely laughed at... then you get mad and start a fight in the club, then your sorry butt gets thrown out and possibly arrested so you can go do some time like your heroes.
"Mac, you ever been in love?" - "No, I've been a bartender all my life."
Guys are guys who also just happen to have to heads but only use the one in their pants. And until they learn to use the one that is attached to their shoulders and learn how to repect other people including women than that will be the day that pigs fly home.

But they're having fun at the expense of some women's dignity. And I could barely understand that post.

I think it's degrading towards women. The rappers have a right to do whatever they want (as long as it's legal) but that doesn't mean it's disgusting and offensive when women are portrayed in this fashion.

Not that I don't like rock. I totally love taking back sunday and other bands. But not all rap talks about sex have u heard of Jadakiss? or Kanye West? you probably haven't because JD talks about what ppl have to suffer and KW talks about Jesus. So dont be soo stereotypical.
speaking of Jada can kiss my --- Why did bush knock down them towers? my god WTF is wrong with him?!?!?
I wouldn't say that women don't have a right to enjoy sex, as a matter of fact I think a sexually aggressive girl is pretty fun. What I don't understand is how girls could like, even to the point of requesting, songs that talk about using women and throwing them away, or that all women are *****es/hoes etc, that they don't believe in love, they use women for money and sex, etc. That they like to have several girlfriends at a time and they use them and then pass them to their friends... Seriously, do you girls want to be treated like that? I think not.

All I can say is, I bartend 1 night a week and work the door at a teen club (18+ no alchohol allowed) 1 night a week. For some reason the rap songs that glorify subjectifying women seem to be the most popular with the women that come to both of these clubs, and it is a wide range of women as far as race, economic factors, and even sexual preference. Also the rap music I am most likely to hear on the radio is the same music that seems to be most popular at the club. Among these songs I would list (excuse me if I don't know the names correctly) "I like big butts" song "ride that donkey" song "slow motion" song "confessions" songs (this one really galls me because the songs are about how hard it is for R. Kelly to be a "man" and tell his girl that he is cheating on her and he got another chick pregnant... how can a girl appreciate that?!?
Thankfully we have the "cookies in the drawer" song that seems to be going back to a woman's right to not have to sleep with someone she meets in the club, hooray for women's rights!!!
Go figure.

I wasn't only talking about rap, I meant music in general, thought most of it, I believe, comes from rap. Of course, not all rap is bad or promotes "pimping." I just wanted to clear that up.
