The Supreme Court ruled this year that police can set up roadblocks and checkpoints, violations if they ask you for papers, of the Fourth Amendment.

The 5th Circuit of Appeals in New Orleans ruled last week law enforcement officials don't need judges to sign warrants.

Welcome to the right-wing version of a police state (communism would be the left's version).

A photo that I took near my hometown.

Talk about timing:

I just got back from seving a year in Iraq. During that time we did constant checkpoints and raids, for security purposes. I believe that in a high risk area, like the larger cities in america, checkpoints are necessary. Besides if we don't have some kind of defense who knows what will get hit next, the white house, maybe another large building???
