The Supreme Court ruled this year that police can set up roadblocks and checkpoints, violations if they ask you for papers, of the Fourth Amendment. The 5th Circuit of Appeals in New Orleans ruled last week law enforcement officials don't need judges to sign warrants. I just got back from seving a year in Iraq. During that time we did constant checkpoints and raids, for security purposes. I believe that in a high risk area, like the larger cities in america, checkpoints are necessary. Besides if we don't have some kind of defense who knows what will get hit next, the white house, maybe another large building???

dude, i live in DC. you want to talk about checkpoints, go to northwest and northeast DC where all the monuments are. i'll be damned if you're allowed to breathe right. it's just a pain in the ***.

ah... helped me realize... even though it frequently smells like cow **** and the people are imbred idiots, at least it's pretty where I live. islands covered in trees bigger than the buildings and mountains in every direction...
