hi, I just got this as my public forum topic for this month. Just want to know what you guys think about it.

Resolved: That the United Nations should be the primary agent to lead and direct the fight against terrorism around the world.

UN is pretty busy with the natural disaster aftermath now, and I don't think they are the main agent fighting terroist. There seem to be no actually conference on that.

Exactly, the UN was not designed to handle problems like we have today. A new summit outside of the UN, with international co-operation, is needed. We need a new NATO for the 21st century.

We're relying too much on the old power structures of the past. They're too well entrenched, buerocratic, narrow-sighted, and muscle bound. It's time for organizational revolution.

That is a nice scenario, but it would never work, considering that terrosrist countries like Syria are members of the UN.
