And, by the way, I don't mean to equate someone who killed half a million people at least with the Democrats.

Saddam - Believed in the supreme power of the government (himself), was always ready to take people's money and property (and more) by force. Supported terror and oppression of the people.
Democrats - Believe in the supreme power of the government, always ready to take people's money and property (sometimes more) by force. Sometimes seem sympathic to terrorists and dictators (at least Saddam), and many aspects of the party platform oppress the people. (more than the GOP, at least.)
What's the difference?
Yes, I know this is rather vitriolic, but there is quite a lot of truth to it. Hey, before you get started, I know the GOP isn't clean either, but it is far closer to describing the Democratic Party. I don't think the Democrats are mostly bloody murderers, but you have to sit back and do some thinking about some of the positions the Democrats have taken in the last few years and, also, look at the governing style. I don't mean so much the positions, I mean the underlying government style.

Let's see:
Saddam Hussein:
Killed 100,000 people. Ruthless dictator.
Democratic party:
Wants to let gays marry, one member once did his secretary. Represented by a donkey.
Got it?

But I'm starting to wonder if there's a difference between Saddam and the Democratic Party...
