geisha's are upper class prostitutes.

People...do you really want to go out into some random place and kill people? What is so great about being a soldier? I know, I know, glory and all the crap about serving your country, but why? I ask merely for information. I would be intrigued to know...

Regular geisha's didn't kill people. What we're talkign about are highly trained assasins/spys posing as geishas. One of the reasons for this is that geisha's typically entertained nobels, generals, and other persons of importance. This allowed them to get very close to the target with minimal trouble.

women should deffinitly be part of a draft if there is one. Not participating would put women behind in the weeker sexist image of women. if we wanted to be treated equally to men in everyday life that means we have to participate in war and other hard things equally.

-----"""I would rather be an assassin than go to war."

So would I. Depending on your position when you "go to war", you are highly vulnerable machine gun fodder. If you're sent to the front line...you're pretty much dead, no matter how good a soldier you are, you're much more likely to be killed simply by chance; because you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. At least as an assassin, you get some peace and quiet since most of your job is sneaking around stealthily, it's prolly much safer while you are "in battle", and if you're killed it's by your own sloppiness.

-----"""It was great to go to my older brother's boot camp a couple years ago (for Marines), and was able to see that the females are treated the EXACT same as guys"""

That's good.

Ha, I didn't mean to sound angry. It's just that I know a lot of people who go around romanticising about being an assassin while not knowing anything about that sort of stuff. It gets to me sometimes, so I might have sounded a bit irate.

Depends on the politician's platforms.

Whoa. Sorry to get your panties in a twist, but I'm not taking back what I said: I would rather be an assassin than go to war. I don't understand how you would get pissed about that statement, but be my guest. And, by the way, I've never actually seen a movie that involved an assassin.

Women who enter the army are perfectly capable soldiers; but what about the girls you know who are just helplessly skittish and unathletic? If one of them is drafted, it would take more to get them to drop their "girly sissy girl" type attitude and harden up and be a soldier, not to mention they'd already have a slight, if not large physical disadvantage, and they'd probably get killed/captured easier. We wouldn't be able to kick them out of the military; because then women would start acting like that just to get out of the military.
I completey agree about this Iceland. Those girls can stay in the house and make babies to increase the population. But I don't think women should be drafted if there is one, but I feel that if a woman or women do decide that they have what it takes and can do as well as any guy soldier, then they should be able to join and fight beside them as an equal. It was great to go to my older brother's boot camp a couple years ago (for Marines), and was able to see that the females are treated the EXACT same as guys, and sometimes harder because they have female drill seargents who want to prove they can be just as harsh if not more harsh than the male seargents.

And what if your captured and treated as a spy? Oh that'll be fun in certain places. Being an "assassin" ain't all it's cracked up to be in the movies.

Unless we are in a really tough war, women shouldn't be drafted. The reason why is that no one knows how well randomly picked women are going to do in the army. I know this is a minority of girls who are like this, but still it would be a problem, when they could be more useful helping our economy at home (remember, this is a draft, so it's prolly a pretty serious war), and it's less of a risk if only guys are drafted, since nearly any guy can make a good enough soldier. Probability wise, it just makes more sense.

For anyone who knows me from here, I'm all for equal rights, but I'm not going to fight you on this one. Guys wanna be stronger? Go for it. I have no intentions of going out on the battle field & I know I have no business out there. If they want to draft nurses to help the victims, then I'll be fine being drafted for that. Call it sexist all you want, ladies, but I have no plans on fighting. I'll let the men have the monopoly on that one.
Also, this is a question of whether women should be ALLOWED to fight, it's a question of whether women should be FORCED to fight.
