Men are always preachng equality when it comes to doing the dirty work. Then they say that women are just as good as men and sometimes better, then for example, in the work place they turn around and get angry when a women is promoted and becomes their superior saying, "she probaly slept with the boss" or something stupid like that. Or in the way or relationships men are typically supposed to do the chasing so on and so forth. Women are supposed to act "lady like" which is in fact the mannerism of inferiority to men. So why now should you be able to up and changing the rules of the game? If you want to draft women fine, but make sure the first ones to go are these lose women with 10 bas*ard children who exploit welfare and tax payers money. *shrugs* my simple opinion

Maybe you should drop the blind bias and look at the facts of AVERAGE women. Yes, there are body builders who are stronger than some guys, but these are (by far) not the norm.
And for the record, the strongest humans are still of the male gender.

If you really want equal rights, I want to see you all complaining about the strong bias courts have in giving women custody in divorce court. If you think that's justified because women are better nurtures, you should have no problem beleiving that men are better soldiers.

Women can volunteer for service, that's for sure. But the only objection I have to a woman's draft is that if both parents leave for service, the children either become ward's of the state, or given to the people that would take them were the children's parent's to die. If there was some way that a woman could aviod the draft to care for her children, then I would be all up for a woman's draft.
Another problem is that I don't believe in killing. I am religious, but I'd help out other ways were my name to come up on the draft. I have the freedom of religion, and my religion doesn't accept killing as an everyday thing. Again, just a thought.

I have nothing against women, are them being in the armed forces!!! I think that they should be able to do anything that any man is able to do.

Why cant you ppl open your eyes and see that some of the most important people in the world are women. Some of the best athletes are women. So, why cant they fight alongside their fellow man in war? We won our rights, yet men still downsize us, saying that we arent capable of killing ppl or whatever. If women can commit murder, they can kill enemies. If some women try to escape a draft, or try to keep from going overseas, then thats their problem, dont let that one woman influence your views of all women. My opinion on women and men both being drafted is that since we have equal rights now then probably it will come up that women should be drafted along with men. I personally would rather be a nurse or help out here in the US than go to combat. My dad served and recently retired from the Army. I don't want to join any military service and neither does he. Plus I really don't think I would pass boot camp. lol.

I don't support war or the draft, but I do think women should be drafted, alongside men. We won't be, but I think we should. The only problem would be that it's very easy for a woman to get out of being drafted, and if it came down to it, I know a lot of girls and women, myself included, who would get pregnant to avoid going to war.

Ok, I personaly think that America is not going to have another draft in the next 5 years...I mean everything seems to be going fine as of having soilders to fight and all...so yea both men and women sould beable to fight...and I'm thinking about joing the Marines when I grow up and I hope to fight side by side with women! and when you think about the women that are doctors and nursies in battle are also soliders so it just depends on what your trying to do in the armed forces...but everyone is required to past a "PT" anyway...comment

Since we're talking about a draft, we're talking about large numbers of people (as in hundreds of thousands). This means we MUST look at the average statistics of these people. On average, women have much less upper body strength than men. They are also, in general, more prone to emotional distress. I know that many women can fit the requirements, however, on average, they don't, and on average, they have many different requirements then men. Thus the idea of drafting large numbers of women would put unnessecary strain on our armed forces in the event a draft was needed. I'm all for women voluntering, but a mandatory draft for many women who will be cut anyway is too much trouble for the reletively minor social reasoning behind it.

We should all be equal. It doesn't matter what your gender or race you are. It all depends if you love your country and are willing to fight for it.
