I DO BELIEVE THAT WOMEN SHOULD SERVE IN THE US ARMY. MEN SHOULD NOT ONLY BE US SOLDIERS. GENDER EQUALITY AND GENDER EQUITY SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION.WOMEN ARE ABLE TO DO ANY CAREER JUST AS MEN. THEREFORE WOMEN WHO ARE FIGHTING FOR EQUAL RIGHTS WITH MEN MUST ALSO BE GIVEN THE CHANCE TO SERVE IN THE US ARMY. THE ARMY DOES NOT ONLY BELONG TO MEN. WOMEN CAN PERFORM WELL AS WELL AS MEN AND EVEN BETTER.

It is virtually impossible to disprove any of the claims you are making because they deal with real women and the way they choose to handle a situation. All I can do is repeat that although there ARE WOMEN WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SITUATIONS (just as there are men, let me tell you...) there are also ones hwo are honest with themselves nad others and actually behave humanely...go figure.

With the generalizations you are making, tht means that your mother, girlfriend, female cousins(?), sister(s)(?) are all guilty of bing flirts who use solely the fact that they are women in order to get ahead in life. If that is how you view women, good luck in any future relationships you may have, because trust me, you are going to need it.

Yeah all of the above is true. My mother especially, and my gf has been known to pull a good pout every now and again.

And so far i seem to be doing pretty well in my relationship thanks... and she agrees with me, as she stands over my shoulder watching me type.

But he did nto run as a green in 2004, during the election in which my school's mock election was. He ran as an independent and that is how it was presented during his campaign the week before our election. Besides, most people who voted for Nader just hated Bush and thought that Kerry was an idiot anyway. It was run by a group of sophomores, and that is where the majority of votes came from. Most people who DID vote for Nader just hated Bush and thought that Kerry was an idiot, that's why the average student at my school (most with little political knowledge) voted for him (not because of his political beliefs...).

Oh so your not a good debator, ok, then at least give the credit where it's due, and dont stick your nose up at me.

Firstly, stop putting words in my mouth because you obviously read words in a very different way tan I write them. Secondly, there IS no credit due to someone who doesn't actually listen to another person and who brings something up in almost every post that CAN BE PROVEN WRONG.

I have yet to see you prove me wrong. And PROVE is the operative word here.

When were we discussing the green party?

On the other thread where you argued that teens are not liberal because more people in your school voted for nader than kerry.

Nader ran as an independent party candidate. Cobb was the green party candidate in the 2004 election.

Lol saw that a mile away, but Nader ran as a green in 2000.

LoL thats nerve, you attacked me for my education decisiions.

Here's the nice thing about YN, you can go back and figure out EXACTLY what you said...here is a brief summary of important points made...(I directly quoted these, if you don't believe me, or "doubt my honesty" you can go back and find them for yourself Smile)

Hydrok:
quote:
I find women like yourself to be annoying, as I find all women politicians, that use the fact that they are a women to slide past things like accountability and responsibility and that scary thing called knowledge and logic.

you want to go into legal and political field, dont expect any favors from anyone, being female will only get you so far there.

Meagan:
quote:
So, you being a guy, with no "special benefits" of being a girl, have what sort of academic following? I would imagine it is super extensive, because as you have made perfectly clear, guys are SO much smarter than girls and I personally am going NOWHERE in life...

See? Nowhere in there was I attacking anything about your chosen field after high school. I was simply rebuting YOUR implication that I wouldn't excell in MY chosen career because I was a girl and would not be able to use girlish charm to make my way to the top.

So you can stop your little "Augh! She's criticizing my chosen career!" charade, because anyone who can read would discover that YOU were in the wrong just as much if not more so than I was.

Just because I want to be a lawyer does not mean that I am a legal genius at he age of 17, before any of my actual schooling for it. I am a senior in high school and have much more on my mind than trying to defned myself to people who don't even care. You try living my life, and THEN you can attack me for the way I am living it.

Law school doesn't require knowledge of trafic violations. And those differ from state to state anyways.

First off I was at a 24 hour organizational meeting with my leadership team, that is why I am "avoiding" whatever it is that I am avoiding...

quote:
She asked if I was so smart what education path I was taking.

No, if you are going to quote me, do it properly. I asked, since you were so smart and claimed that guys had so much more going for them than just their gender, how your academic progress THUS FAR compared with mine.

My university gives a scholarship of some amount to EVERY student based on academics, if you can get accepted, you get a scholarship...I think absolute minimum gpa is a three point with competative act scores.

How many Meagan's are there in this world that you know other than me? THAT is why I do not care to devulge my university of choice because I will be among a class of 1,000 and I don't care to give that much information online.

Also, with the whole college thing, there is a college close to my city that is private, has approx. 300 students total and costs only 8,000 a year.

Finally, I DO understand your situation hydrok; my parents make enough that I don't think I qualify for ANY need based aid, but they are not planning on paying for it...they have always told me that so that I would work as hard as I could in school and not just assume my college was taken care of. I am not too concerned about my undergraduate work because I can get scholarships, but law school is going to put me into a LOT of debt that I am not looking forward to...

Any other things I was supposed to address, please ask me directly instead of just continually repeating that I am avoinding something...I don't have time to reread all of these posts...

All right, I can see where you're coming from. However, there are affordable (or lower costing, anyway) schools with small freshman classes. One that I visited had a class of about 180, smaller than my school's class even, and costed around 10K a year. That's not as horrible as you're making it out to be.

And who is number two?

Anyway, Meagan is still avoiding it.

That was one of the things she brought up originally... by insinuating that i wasn't smart like her because i didn't attend university, thats where it all started. Peace?

And so will I, But meagan here does not need to deliver a diatribe about how I am not going to a top rate university so select that the freshman class is so small we would be able to pick her from it, so therefore I am not on the same intellectual plane as she is. Thats what this is about. It's about respecting other peoples decisions and circumstances and how well they persevere.

Yogore, you dont like me and thats obvious, but you need to watch who you call a lier. Truth is I have a set of circumstances that I need to deal with, and I deal with them the best I can.

Now number 2, I was originally questioning Meagan's honesty, stuff doesn't add up with her. and you've managed to redirect me from my goal for about a page worth of posts now... this argument is over, because you have no factual basis to disprove my claim, because I will not divulge what school I went to.

And this is kinda funny because you got us off track the most

"I think you two are having a petty argument. I think we all need to try and stay on topic."
