Well, then why doesn't she have the same problems with the school district? "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

I think you two are having a petty argument. I think we all need to try and stay on topic.

You know I find Meagans claims in general to be rather decieving... She hypes herself a lot, she gets good grades, is head of the class, going to an exclusive university where the freshman class is so small we would have a chance of picking her out. She wants to go to college for law and wants to be a politician, but doesn't know the extent that speeding costs you, and doesn't know that Nader is an ultra liberal. I got news, you are not who you say you are, or you just got a big ego one or the other. And before you go off critisizing me for my education choices (namely tech school and the service) just know that I went to a rural public school with 3 honors classes total available when i was in school. No one in my school goes to good colleges on full scholorships... my parents cant afford private school, and I'll be damned if a voucher ever makes it out to the boonies. And sence they couldn't afford private school, there is no way they can help me finance college, so I took the initiative to learn a respected trade (Residential Wiring) and have been making good money. So then I decided to go into the service for it's college benefits as well as the fact that I was given an opportunity to work in intelligence. I'm not stupid, and I resent the fact that you treat everyone else like they are stupid... especially because I havn't had any strokes of genius while reading your posts.

No, I don't know you. All the more reason to question your actions and possible behaviors. And in "those situations", you were gaining something, not losing something.

No, I have not been in that situation in the almost 2 years since I started driving. I have been in several high-stress situations such as trying to get a doctors' attention because my mom needed water when she was in the er, a mock job interview with a really scary guy who was determining my grade in the class, even having a discussion with a teacher about an assignment I felt was inappropriate for a high school class...not once did I have to use the fact that I am a female to get what I want. I am a very outspoken person and I have found my own perfect way of getting exactly what I want without resorting to being a flirt. Many people (adults in authority situations) have also complimented the way I have handled myself in certain situations. I don't really even flirt with guys my own age...let alone with guys standing outside my car window with guns... How much do I have to argue that I am not the flirting type??? You have never had a real conversation with me, maybe if you had you would have figured this out for yourself...

Quite a few would try. I believe a lot of women don't know what flirtatious means. So they might do it and not even know. And you don'ot know what you would do. You said it yourself: It's never happened to you.

Do you believe that every woman would flirt? or just a few?

Well I guess since someone who has no clue of the type of person I am says so it must be true. Believe what you want because all that really matters in the end is what I know I would do...

I believe you'd flirt. You just admitted it yourself, you don't know how you'd react. That leaves the possibilities open.

How am I supposed to know EXACTLY how I would handle the situation, IF I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE SITUATION IS? There are so many different reasons why someone could be pulled over, and some of them could be their fault and some could not. I don't feel like dealing with the consequences, so I don't speed, it is as simple as that. My family (including me) was hit by a drunk driver when I was six, it was the scariest moment of my life, and if I hadn't been wearing my seatbelt I would probably have sustained some pretty bad injuries or worse. Because of this I always wear my seatbelt and won't drive someone who isn't. I am not too worried about getting pulled for traffic violations... I was gone because I had to help my parents who decided it would be a good idea to buy a new tv yesterday and then bring it home with them. Then i still have probably 10 hours of homework...YN is not my life unlike some...

That really should have gone on the "Battle of the Sexes" board Jeric. Good point, but not the right place.

I think women's salary's should be the same as men's. That's ridiculous. And also, why stop at salary? Women are equal to men in any respect.

I don't. "I would roll down my window and be as respectful as humanly possible... I enjoy debating, so if there was something that was not my fault, I would explain it as best I could. The whole point of a speeding ticket is if you don't have the money, don't speed. They are like $91 in NY for speeding last time i knew, or that might be for not wearing a seat belt, well its one or the other. Just a question, but how many people have that amount of money on them right now?
My seatbelt ticket was $70, depending on how fast your going the fine can be up to $300 plus the surcharge which can be up to $150 Plus on top of that you get points on your license, which again depending on what the judge feels is necissary can be up to 3 points at a time. Then your insurance goes up by up to $500+ a year. I dont make that kind of money and I had a decent paying job.

quote: And she's avoiding answering the question.
Not only did I already answer the question in my own way before you gave it to me multiple choice style, but I also have a life outside of YN, and I am only able to make it onto the internet between chores and homework...to top it all of, my mom doesn't like the internet and won't upgrade to DSL, so everythime I go online, it ties up our phone line. So if that is "avoiding answering the question" (which I already answered...) then yes, I am 100% guilty of not answering the question.
